Walmart - Laptop Review from Atlanta, Georgia
I went to Walmart in Lebanon Indiana at 8 am Friday to get 3 advertised items. A 2 in 1 laptop, the 40" TV and the wireless printer. TVs were gone, which I understand. But they told me they sold out and discontinued that model of printer a month ago. And the advertised laptop turned out to be a very low end tablet. See picture of letter pasted over the laptop that was advertised. What a scam. Just flat out lie and then act like the customer is *** for being offended ! Back in the spring I went in twice to get help buying a lawn mower because I have a bad back and knee. I ended up getting one at Menards. Went in twice to get keys made and both times was told nobody was on duty that knew how to make them. This particular store is just a joke.

Retail Giant Walmart-Adding Insult to Injury

Local Fort Wayne resident Naketta Marie Walda went to industry giant Walmart at Lima & Dupont Rd. on November 16 this year, with the intention of buying a new TV for her family. She’d been saving her money for it and finally got to pick one out; a new Samsung 40” led television to which she paid, and took with her in a sealed box. When she got home and opened the TV, sadly it wasn’t what she expected nor what she paid for. In fact, it was a cracked Samsung 32” TV with a pioneer remote control inside. Of course, her first inclination was to take it back to Walmart, as it must have been a return from another purchase that was misplaced or something in their inventory. Upon arrival at Walmart the same day with receipt in hand, the recently widowed, single mother of two was told “it was Samsung’s fault awalmart return policy, walmart customer service complaint, retail nightmares, return policy walmart, nd she’ll have to talk to them”. All the while, giving Ms. Walda the distinct impression that Walmart felt she was trying to “rip them off” by replacing the new TV with this broken one! In talking to Naketta about the apprehensive Walmart Manager, she explained, “It was a guy, I don’t know his name because I was so upset. I was cussing at them and I feel like they think I put the old TV in there and am trying to get a new one. I am not that kind of person.” Personally, it sounds like someone took Walmart for a ride on a return from another transaction. Since they resealed the box, nobody at Walmart even questioned the return. Understandably, Ms. Walda was upset with the Manager (or person in charge on Sunday) at Walmart, as she was given no choice but to take the information for Samsung and contact them regarding her television dilemma. In communicating with Samsung, our mother of two was told she’d have to pay for the damages to the cracked television, and she’d need to do it through Walmart. Of course, she didn’t want go back to the Store Manager at the Lima & Dupont Rd. after the last fiasco, yet didn’t feel she should have to pay for damages to a TV she should have never received. So, she called the District Manager of Walmart. As she contacted the District Manager, Ms. Walda was informed she’d would have to wait for him to review his video cameras and get back to her in a few days. Why is this her problem? Why on earth should she have to wait for anything? It’s really simple guys, she didn’t get what she paid for. Give her money back or a new TV. Here we are on November 21th, five days after her initial purchase and four days after contacting Walmart’s District Management. Not a word from Walmart, and no television for the Walda family. The cost of the TV was a mere $298.00 plus $27.00 for the three year warranty. I realize it doesn’t sound like a lot of money to Walmart or even me, but when you have to save money to buy something, you should get the product you paid for in the box. Has it become necessary for us to open each box we purchase from Walmart before leaving the store to make sure it contains what it should? Sounds like, yes… yes we should! Further, Naketta doesn’t have the money to follow through with Samsung’s solution of paying for the old one to be fixed. And, why should she have to pay anything? This isn’t her problem, it’s Samsung’s or Walmart’s problem. Both companies seem to be dragging their feet on this issue, and trying to place blame on each other. The end result has become ignoring the paying customer while keeping her money. There needs to be some kind of solution, as it’s not the first time I’ve heard of this happening. After doing some research, here are 104 similar situations with Walmart and Samsung, mostly on phones however, the principal is the same. Further, here are more than 2000 customer complaints in regard to Walmart’s exchange policy. How many is it going to take for this giant to make a policy change that is fair to their customers? I guess we shouldn’t expect much in the way of Walmart, as their recent publicity has been around not pay their employees well enough to live above the poverty level. On the other hand, we’ll have to see what the Better Business Bureau thinks about the ongoing horrific customer service practices of Walmart. Naketta really needs your support and plans to take this public, asking for help from ABC’s 21 Alive and NBC33, as she can’t fight an industry giant alone. Please share this article with all your friends and help us make this it go viral to get the attention of Walmart and Samsung while doing away with unfair retail practices. Walmart in Lincoln, Nebraska - Amazon Price Match

I went to walmart to buy a new router, walmart had them for 149.99 and on amazon it was 89.99 which was an amazon item, not a third party vendor, they wouldn't give it to me saying they don't price match amazon prime items, so I asked them for the 3rd party vendor price of 80.00 + 4.99 shipping, they said no to that one but said the one for 107.99 + 0 shipping was ok, even though it was a 3rd party vendor. And the rep kept arguing with me that amazon prime gave people special discounts on price which it does not, only free 2 day shipping and instant video streaming. Avoid the 27th street Walmart in Lincoln Nebraska, the employee's there are dumb as ***!
