Walmart Number One

I was on Fortune.com today and saw that Walmart is number "ONE" on their list. This is what I also observed, "Walmart stayed on top as its sales crept closer to half-a-trillion dollars." As a Walmart employee, I am somewhat disturbed by this news. I never met Sam Walton but, I believe that he was a man of integrity. This is Walmart's second year on the top of the list; you mean to tell me that this giant of industry cannot pay its employees above minimum wage, or $10.10 at best and still generate a profit? Maybe the corporate guys and girls are working at your local store but, I have never seen one of them on the register at the store where I work. So, why is it that I cannot share in some of the profit that the company is making? They just had a big associates shareholders meeting. But, the employee had to pay his or her own way and they had a concert. I know if they had a big name act to perform that was some millions of dollars for the act alone, not to mention, cost for the venue and the week long event. I believe that the corporate executives of Walmart should go back and review the culture of Walmart video. I looked at it again and the gentleman stated, that knowledge of your customer and having the necessary resources available to make your business go are the bricks but, "It was the culture of the company that "was" the mortar that held it all together. I put an emphasis on "was" because that may have been the culture then but, now it "is" not bottom up but, top down. As long as the top heads are making the money, the bottom down employees should just be glad to have a job. Until, we the employees do something about the situation, it will never change. Or, maybe one of the corporate heads will read this and a conversation on change will begin.

Walmart in El Segundo, California - No alcohol if you have an underage person with you?

Walmart has a beer I like that is much cheaper there than anywhere else. I usually buy one whenever I go in there. This time though the cashier said I was not able to purchase it because my 8 year old nephew was with me and was obviously a minor. I had ID and am over 21 years old, but it no longer matters. They are now carding EVERYBODY in your group and if anybody is underage, kids included, they are denying you access to alcohol. I asked to speak to the manager and that was what I was told. If you have a minor of any age in your group, no alcohol. You have to come back later without them present. What the ***? With them charging almost twice as much for the movies and video games compared to other stores now, I have no reason to shop at Walmart any longer. I know what they are trying to do with the alcohol, but they are doing it wrong. Do they think that will stop people from buying for minors? What a joke!

On Wednesday June 4th 2014 17:05, I attempted to get three photos printed (Order #17101) through the kiosk at the Wal-Mart (#00673) located in Clarksville, TN. When I attempted to retrieve the photos, I was approached by Kardero stating that they were not going to...

WalMart cancelled my order a day before my son's birthday

WalMart cancelled my order a day before my son's birthday
I placed an order on walmart.com for a toddler bicycle that was shown as "IN STOCK" and ready to pickup "AS EARLY AS TODAY"; therefore, I expected to be able to pick up the bike the next day. Unfortunately, I received an email today, a day before my son's birthday (the bike is my son's only birthday present from my wife and I) stating the order had been CANCELLED. The good news was, another order was issued for our bike. The bad news is, it would not be ready for pick up in their store until 2 weeks from now. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I have submitted requests via email to WMT asking for them to call me tomorrow to let me know where I can pickup this bike. My son is going to be heart-broken tomorrow when I have to tell him his present will not arrive for another two weeks. I really hope Wal-Mart resolves this issue for us tomorrow, or else I am going to have one unhappy 2 year old on my hands.

Walmart - Replacement Review

PRODUCT REPLACEMENT PLAN is a RIPOFF... Do not purchase it!! While purchasing an Acer Tablet Dec. 2011 I was persuaded to purchase a Total Hassle Free Wal-Mart Replacement Plan, by being told it was 100% coverage. It would be as easy as picking up the phone an making a call explaining the problem. I'd have a replacement the next day or so. As a matter of fact I'd have a total of 3 yrs complete coverage...(1yr manufacture 2yr Walmart).Sounded great, so we purchased it... Fast foward..a year later we had a problem with the screen going white at times.... I called customer service an was told they would give me list of repairman in my area.... That was the first problem. Then my grandson dropped it an cracked the screen =(.. I tried to file a claim online atleast 10 times with no luck. I was finally able to reach someone by phone. Only to be told, So sorry ... your claim has has expired.... I said, no way. I was told when I purchased it... 1 yr manufacturer 2 yrs Walmart no hassle repacement....(total of 3 yrs). So sorry to hear that.. we changed that policy in 2012 at which point we started following manufacturers replacment timeline.. I said okay, you changed it in 2012, I purchased this before your policy changes in 2011.. In a very loud an hateful voice I was told, I'm sorry your policy is expired... Please explain to me how your item be covered, then when you try to file a claim its not... I'm done with Wal-Mart's Replacement Plans they are totally useless... This is the 3td or 4th time I've tried to replace an item that we purchased insurance and they always a reason why not to... I'm upset and aggravated with this type of fraudulent actions.. Im wondering if the associate's get some type of commission on the # they sale..

Walmart in Los Angeles, California - I am impressed with the bossy way and ruddiness of the employees Inglewood Store CA

Employees are extremely rude in the store located on Inglewood Blvd in CA, they find ways to call your attention to minimal things. I had to use the bathroom and left my basket outside with my goods inside. The employee walked in saw the basket outside and didn't say one word for me. I washed my hands and walked away quietly. The same employee saw me outside and course me a *** of my goodies being close to the bathroom she was picking on me and made me feel bad like a criminal that was ready to steal. Again today happen again, with the cashier asking ID for a 60 old lady, (me) because I bought a bottle of wine. They asked me the date I was born very embarrassing since the entire line listened my numbers. I won't give my business anymore for this very arrogant American company.

So you wanted them to sell you a real brand for generic cost? I get wanting compensation for the issues you had but that seems a bit overboard.
