Walmart - Customer Care Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I also had this same issue at my local walmart. I stopped an employee and asked where their ladies robes were, she just looked at me and said no and walked away. When I stopped another employee who happened to be a manager, he said....everyone needs a job ma'am, I said your right but when you work in a customer service industry you need to be able to actually help customers.....he just ignored me and called someone to help me. What a *** shame. I wouldn't move to France or Spain and not speak the language. I am pro immigration and love living in and around other cultures so my issue is not cultural its simply when you live in another country you should know how to read and speak the language of that country, especially if you intend to work there. Let's just save ourselves time and eliminate English as the official US language, isn't that were were headed anyway?

Walmart needs to train employees waaaayyyyy better than they do

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Used the pickup service for the First time. Major fail.

Clerks Had difficulty finding order. Order was broken up into two orders and they Didn't have whole order together. Given a sealed box. Clerks did not go over order to assure correct.

*** husband didn't check order before leaving. When got home 5 items missing. Had to make another trip to store. Store clerks do not have a clue of what customer service is all about.

It's like talking to a robot. Actually a robot would have more sense and be more responsive. Will never use this service again. But it's Walmart so should have known it would be a mess.

I use Kroger's pick up service and have never had a problem with them. You all need to take training lessons from them.

What happened to using complete sentences when posting a complaint on the internet?

Maybe you could have used a robot to help you with your spelling and grammar. I hope you are just an uneducated adult and not a wed child, because that is just sick, but judging from your spelling, grammar, and name calling you are obviously a child.

Refusal to accept cash as a means of payment for purchases at self check-out.

When visiting the Shallotte, North Carolina store and placing several items in my cart to purchase, I began to look for an open check-out stand. The three stands that were operated by humans had lines that were very long, so I continued down to the cluster of eight self-check out registers.

Once there I noticed that six of the eight self check-out stands were in use. I then pushed my cart into this area but noticed that the two open stands had hand-written signs that read "credit card only," so I backed up with my cart and decided to wait until one of the other stands opened up.

While backing up, the supervisor of the self check-out area motioned for me to go to one of the open machines with the "credit card only" signs. I told her I was paying in cash and that those machines were out of order for cash.

She told me "They are all credit card only."

I said "You are kidding me, I am paying in cash."

She said "Then you will have to go wait in one of the other lines if you are paying cash."

Again, I said "You are kidding me" and with that I let go of the cart and walked out of the store without buying anything.

During my previous visits to this store, I have always paid cash at the self check-out registers. Today, the less-than-friendly supervisor acted as though this had never happened.

Why should I be penalized for paying cash for my purchases as I have done all of my life?

How much longer will the American public permit such leadership in the retail industry?

Will not pay by cash or credit card and will take my business elsewhere.

Ellora Wpx

The same happened to me at a Memphis, TN Walmart. Rude customer service people, they laughed at me because I had cash.

Olevia Fji

Ill tell you why. because Walmart employees dont know how to count cash.....

Wal-Mart caving to the MAP and Soros. NOW pushing for cashless society with their digital coin.

Wal-Mart now requires masks, that will not stop virus and actually harm you wearing them. It is all control!

Guest

I absolutely agree with you. A lot of customers either prefer to pay with cash or don't have access to a credit or debit card. This reeks of forcing Americans to go cashless.

Guest

I will never shop at Walmart again. If you cannot pay in cash in the self check out who’s going to stand in line for 15 minutes. Shop somewhere else so you can pay in cash.

Guest

In case some of you may not know now. There is a COIN SHORTAGE.

It has nothing to do with spreading the Kung Flu.

When you pay with cash most people do not have exact coins so therefore you receive change back. Unfortunately everyone is having to restrict the amount of coin they are able to give not just the big wig corporations.

Walmart - Pre-Order item

Order the george strait box set on Nov 16; received an email on Nov 17 that the item was ready to be pick up. Went to 345 Hwy 6, Sugar Land, TX 77478 Walmart to pick up my item, but was told by 2 asst. mgr and one employee. We cannot sell you the item because not in our inventory. One asst mgr said you need to call Walmart.com; while was in the store I called 1-800 number. Only to be told there is nothing we can do it's the store fault. I ended up returning the item and left the store extremely unhappy.

On Nov 18 I called 1800 number again to speak with a mgr, only to be told there is no mgr available and the wait time is over an hour. I decided to contact the store mgr. I was connected to employee named Ten, he said I am going to talk with my mgr and call you back.

I cannot believe people still support this company.

Walmart - Overnight Produce Associate Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Employee Review: Poor management communication/ treatment depends on store. Overnight produce (Current Employee), Florida – February 19, 2017 Pros: Its work. Cons: Management, in most cases, is terrible. I have worked many a walmart store in 9 years. Moved around alot. I've worked all the fresh areas. In one store I found a job I loved. Produce. Overnight was even better. I came in, did my job, and went home. NP. As high paced as it is, I took pride in my department and how I presented it every day. I cleaned the drains, shelving, culled, zoned, pulled dates, pulled the truck from back room to produce cooler... I even begain trainung to be a produce lead; ordering, doing the morning counts, training new associates... However, as I moved on to other stores, I realised this was not going to be the case everywhere. Management is all about money. They are about getting the jobs done that cover their own butts, not yours. Overnight is worse. You are easy to blame since you are not there during the day to defend yourself. And every manager is different. They all want things done different ways and NONE of them communicate with one another. They will pile on more and more work until you can't get it all done or kill your self doing it all. Heaven help you if you forget something or misunderstand something they want you to do. You will be used in other departments and be used as a puzzle peice for their benefit. Oh, and very few of them know what your job really is. What it is you really do or how much time it actually takes to do it. I'm a hard worker and I loved my job. I had to move, again. Now, though I love my job and know what I am capable of, I hate where I work. But work is hard to find where I have moved and I'm now stuck working for this company. All in all, it depends on what store you are in. There are gems out there. Ones that stick to the books, listen to their employees, and are true leaders. But they are few. Most will take advantage of you

I've tried 4 times to use 3 different Vanilla Visa cards on Amazon for a purchase. Declined four times. I'm in Alaska and I was thinking that was the reason. I thought the coding on the cards were only used in the lower 48 or on the East Coast....where they were purchased Is there any way to redeem these things? Expiration dates are 2020 and 2025. If I return them to the sender ( and purchaser ), would they be able to return or use them? I am going to make this " Pissed" public, in Facebook. I have to enter at least 100 words to this review, other wise it will not be posted? Is this site a scam also? Just beware of Vanilla Card. It could simply be that Amazon doesn't exact those trash cards. Way too many "suspicious" activities. Simply use your bank account.

Would not honor warranty.

I bought a marine battery from Walmart Natchez dr. Slidell la last year. The only reason I bought it was because it had a one year warranty. Well my battery is no good anymore and they would not take it back without a receipt. When I bought the battery the guy told me I had a one year warranty. I will not shop at Walmart ever again.

A warranty will be held with the manufacturer not the retailer. They most likely couldn't help you replace it hence the inquire for receipt. You could've called the manufacturer and within that year, they would fix it or replace it.

Walmart.com ShippingPass - BEWARE!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Walmart.com ShippingPass - BEWARE!
Walmart.com ShippingPass - BEWARE! - Image 2

I placed an on 9/13 and signed up for Walmart's 2 day shipping pass to try free for 30 days. When I ordered the items that totaled under $50, the shipping was indeed free and it appeared that I was not charged for it.

When I checked on line the following day to see when my order would arrive, it said 9/19, which was not 2 business days but 3. I called customer service at Walmart.com and was told by the agent that he would update the shipping info and it would indeed arrive on 9/16 AND I would receive an $8 credit for the inconvenience. I did NOT receive this order today. When I called to ask what happened, the customer service rep said there was no note regarding the shipping date change or the credit.

She also said that there was no indication as to who I spoke to because there are different call centers so there is no way to know who it was that lied to me about this. She then went on to explain that NONE of my items were eligible for Shipping Pass. It seems that the words Shipping Pass appears under the price but that does not mean that it actually qualifies for shipping pass. Clearly the item pages seem designed to look like the items qualify for shipping pass even when they don't.

When you click on the "ShippingPass" icon under the price, it says "Try ShippingPass Free for 30 days" (see photos below). Since I wasn't charged for shipping when the order was placed, it looked like they did qualify. So, the combination of the lying customer service rep, the bait and switch tactic and the fact that you can't tell what qualifies and what doesn't is so shady I can't even stand it.

So I'm cancelling the ShippingPass membership and letting everyone know to beware of this option when ordering from Walmart.com. If the free shipping on each item is purposely difficult to figure out, what's the point?

yes beware, unlike amazon prime, shipping pass is subject to the descretion of Walmart and they use discretion with impunity and can invalidate your shipping benefit at will, so much for discounted shipping from Walmart don't waste your money on these crooks

Guest

I totally agree. Shipping times were MUCH faster without this PAID "service" which sucks.

I used to get my items within a week, and now some items take an entire month. The ONLY good thing is free shipping on any size order, but even that isn't worth it because it takes so long!! Not only that, but at first (during the free trial) they would deliver my orders to my door, which they are supposed to do. NOW they deliver to my post office, and then I get yelled at because I didn't put my PO box on the package!

I want my money back, but they refuse! TERRIBLE!!!

Fire these two employees they are a customer service nightmare. Wal-mart where do you find these retards?

It has got to the point I don't trust your employees. I have written two complaints about the Cranston, RI Wal-mart. I am glad you have a new manager from other parts of the United States.

Now fire Monica at the Cranston, RI and these two idiots in Washington State. It is time for Wal-Mart employees to learn that they have a job that they have no authority over what customers do with their money and get better managers who know how to train people so you do not anymore videos of idiots embarrassing themselves or harassing customers.

I am by no means a fan of Walmart, but please do not misuse the word "retard". It is disrespectful to those who are developmentally disabled.

First...do you have their permission to post this?

Second...people file lawsuits constantly regarding alcohol.

The person who sold it is almost always left holding the blame even if they don't deserve it. So these two being extraordinarily careful regarding alcohol and a minor makes complete sense.

You sound like a spoiled child who is mad because they got their hand slapped.

Your response reminds me of a lady that I talked to months ago. She was fired because she sold alcohol to a minor.

I don't remember how they went down. As for this lady, maybe she has seen something happen. Something really bad and it was traced back to the cashier.

Who knows. But it isn't this guys job that is on the line, so of course he doesn't care.

Abigail Hlb

Why don't you tell all of this to someone that has been fired because they sold alcohol to someone and something bad has been traced back to them?

I mean...if Walmart's policy it's not the cashier's OR the manager's fault. They don't get the opportunity to sit in on those corporate board meetings, they don't just sit around at each store making up whatever *** they want, I'm willing to bet they didn't even get early notice before the policy change was implemented. If you want to be mad at somebody be mad at the people that get to make those decisions not the people trying to keep their jobs so they can feed their kids that night.

Animals in the store

I live in Fallon, Nv. It is a town 60 miles East of Reno. Today I had to run by Wal Mart and pick up a few things on my way home from work. I was in the store a total of 43 minutes. There were 5 dogs and 1 large cat, all with different people, in this store during my visit. This is INSANE. I cant believe this can happen. The lady walking in behind me placed her *** dog in the cart and the wal mart lady that sits by the door told her she could bring the dog in, but not in the cart. Is this legal? What happened? People, leave your dogs, cats, goats, whatever type of animal you need to function mentally at home. You ruin it for the people who really need service dogs (not cats). Service dogs don't bark loudly in the stores or *** on the poles (all of which I have seen happen). PLEASE fix this problem.

It is definitely annoying that people try to scam the system, but don't we really have bigger things to worry about?

And for those who are concerned about merchandise, particularly food, coming into contact with pet...residue, for lack of a better term, are you kidding me lol?

Dogs are the least of your problems. What about all the snot-nosed kids that ride in those carts? You're putting your goods in the bottom of a cart that some brat with filthy shoes was standing in. What about the stock boy who picks his nose before filling the shelves with the canned goods you buy?

What about the cashier who didn't wash her hands after using the bathroom -- the one who handles all of your merchandise as she scans and bags it. The one who handles bills and change -- one of the filthiest things around -- right before she starts in on your order. What about the germ laden conveyor belt all of your merchandise rests on when you check out?

What about the credit card swiper and pin pad -- can anyone say bacteria trap. What about the guy with the communicable disease who pushed the cart you're now pushing.

Abigail Hlb

What about people that have died from being around pets? Yes, Walmart does have a pet section but that does not mean that you take your pets into the store.

Josalyn Boh

It's obvious a lot of these animals are not 'service animals'.

Anyone can claim there animal as a 'comfort animal'.

Having these animals in the cart should NOT be allowed.

If I saw that I would speak to the manager and insist they do something about it. Other people put food, clothes in those carts!

Yuck!

A new product idea... Cart condoms!!!

Guest

I agree they SHOULD leave their animals at home. Im NOT far from you so I understand the concept you are trying to put across.

Its NOT about having SERVICE ANIMALS its about EVERYONE turning their pets INTO supposed service animals. I have no problem with someone with ANY actual disability using a service animal. But to those people who use ANY excuse to turn their pets into service animals. SHAME ON YOU!!!

We get it, YOU dont want to leave fluffy in the car in the middle of the desert heat, good for you. But you dont REALLY need to bring the animal with you every where. TRY and show some respect for the other HUMANS around you BEFORE you put the comfort of your animal ABOVE them. There are MANY MANY people out there with allergies to animals and THEY dont need to have an allergy attack because YOU saw fit to place your dog in the basket.

FOOD GOES THERE!!!!!! PLEASE understand that retailers understand about service animals and in most cases the animals are well behaved. But all its going to take is ONE DEATH from a serious allergy attack BECAUSE of a service animal and you WILL see retail policies go back to the draconian ways we had in the 90's.

Think of your fellow humans comfort level. NOT your dogs.

Guest

Yeah, you really think it can be "fixed" unless the animals are killing people, *** in a pole should not be too much of a problem, but wait? are they peeing ON you?...

yeah, didn't think so..

so what? get over it, life it's not going to comply to your needs and comforts and you need to suck it up.

Guest

why do animals bother you so much...that's ***..let people bring animals if

they want..get some help you ***

Abigail Hlb
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1312280

Some people have died from being around animals. Not be mean but we need to think about other people first.

Guest

I totally agree with you that people with non-service animals are ruining it for those who do legitimately need these animals. Unfortunately, legally there is very little Walmart or any other business establishment can do. Laws prevent them from asking too many questions and it is nearly impossible to actually prove that these animals are NOT service animals.

I bought a pair of shorts at the Hudson, Florida Walmart and they were too small. Being that I was at the Port Richey, Florida store, I wanted to exchange them for a larger size. They wouldn't exchange them because I bought them at the Hudson store. They would not exchange them, but refunded the money for the one pair which had been on sale at Hudson. She said the pair I was buying was an older pair and was not on sale. But the pair that I originally bought was a newer pair. CONFUSED! Why wouldn't one Walmart store exchange with another? I had the receipt. I had to pay $5.32 more for an older pair of pants - same brand and original price.

You need to remember that you are dealing with Walmart! They have some very odd and silly rules about everything, it seems, eg.

you cannot take your bottle receipt from one store in town to the other store in town.

Best to find a Kroger store in your area. At least you will find adequate lanes open and employees dressed like civilized human beings.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was at Walmart Hains city on 3/20/2017 exact time 7.00 pm till 7:15 pm at the garden center when i approached the line to pay, the cashier was I do not recall her name . but the recite said ST #00725 OP#007551 TE #72 TR # 01769.

The cashier was on the Walmart phone at the other register. She seemed not talking only holding the phone just like she is waiting for someone. After several minute i spoke and i asked the cashier if she need me to go and call for some help, or if i call a manager because she seemed holding the phone for long time. I was surprised when the cashier did not answer me .

Very rude I just was trying to help. I did ask her the second time " Excuse me Ms, do you want me to go and call for help" i did not receive any answer from the cashier very very rude. Suddenly the cashier returned to her post just like nothing happen and she start serving the guests. I still do not know what exactly was waiting for.

after two customer passe by, my turn come. The cashier asked me how many bags of soil you have, Very rude no hello or did you find everything OK. I told the cashier you go a head and count them. She grab her scanner the manual one and she scanned 4 bags of soil.

I had five bags of soil, very disappointed that Walmart is hiring cashier they cannot count more tan five very surprising. I left the store and I come back to buy my grocery when I meet Mr. Jun the assistance manager i told him the story and he was very helpful. he did listen to my entire story and told another manager that i do not remember his name.

I hope that Walmart one day start hiring educated people.

THe only person that was rude was you for interrupting her while she was on the phone. But I agree in the case of you she should have helped you first.

You obviously are nine years old and could be coming to her because you lost your mommy who would be very disappointed that you did not wait for her to get off the phone before talking to her.

While bashing her for counting you should bash yourself for your terrible spelling and grammar.Surely you should know how to spell words like "passed" and "I" and "than" even at nine years old. If you want them to hire educated people do not apply for a job yourself because clearly you are uneducated.

Unprofessional

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I shop 2 to 3 times a week online and in-store at Walmart and I am at the lack of professionalism among the employees. Could it be a lack of training or a lack of concern for the consumer. I was put on hold twice and the associate never came back to the phone. I called a third time and the same female associate answered the phone calling me sweetheart a second time and didn't seem to care until I asked to speak to a manager. She wanted to know if she could help me but the other times she said she didn't know the answer to what i asked her and just put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Ten minutes is too long to be holding and waiting and 15 minutes is unacceptable. In the store the associates gossip loudly, laugh at shoppers loudly, and are very rude and confrontational. The store is dirty and messy every time I go in there. One of the check out associates saw me coming to her lane and she walked away from me and went over and talked to another associate who was putting away items. She left me standing there for five minutes. When she came back I asked her if she was busy and she said no with the ugliest attitude. She rolled her eyes at me and began grabbing my items and slamming them down as she totaled them up. If you need assistance the associates treat you as if you are bothering them. They stand around talking and laughing while the store is in disarray. I was charged twice for an item and the associate got very indignant with me when I attempted to ask her about my receipt so I just left. This is the Roseville, MI 48066 store, Manager Robert Aquilina. When I asked to speak to him I was told, ' They're in a meeting. I am considering closing my Walmart account and shopping somewhere else. My spouse, daughter, brother, sister, and friends had similar experiences at that same Walmart. My brother and sister don't shop there anymore. They shop at another store now. My eldest sister and I love the prices and items at Walmart and this is why I am asking you to retrain your associates whenever the complaints become numerous. I see many of the associates are very young and the young can be difficult and lack work ethics. If they know they are expendable maybe you may get more effort out of them. I'm sure Walmart gives incentives. In conclusion, I am very disappointed, but I hope Walmart Corporation really cares about the shoppers like me who spend thousands of dollars a year in the Walmart Super Centers.

Remember, you are talking about people who work at Walmart, not the most demanding professions for those of the "great unwashed." I would suggest you shop elsewhere if you really want customer service. You won't find it at Walmart.
