I just want the product that I purchased to be fixed HP Desktop Computer

Original review Jul 11, 2016
I purchased a $453.00 HP computer from walmart for school in Las Vegas NV and from day one it did not work properly so I contacted both HP support and the walmart store located at 201 north Nellis BLVD Las Vegas NV 89110 where I purchased this HP product. Neither of whom was of any help in helpping me resolve this defective product then nor to date 7 months later. In fact HP support was a little helpful in letting me Know about Walmarts shifty third party practices and limited extended warranties that if I had known about prior to my purchase I would not have stepped foot in their store and definitely would not have purchased anything more technical than a roll of toilet paper.

Cons:
  • Product quality
  • Offered no resolution to the problem
  • Very costly and bad results
Reason of review:
Warranty issue

Preferred solution: because I was not informed about a third party warranty issue and have put a very important program and file on this product that I can not transfer, copy or edit I need this computer to function correctly.

HP support was helpful, in the way that they threw Walmart under the bus.....HP is the manufacturer of the computer you bought. I would be shaking the HP tree for a full replacement, if it were me (not trying to play the blame game).

Manufacturers warranties should supersede any retailer warranty, anyways.

Surely there is a technician in your area that can help you for a good price. Like someone that does it on the side.

Nobody takes starter checks anymore. Nobody.

In fact, rarely do stores even take checks anymore.

Move on into the year 2016 and pay by cash, credit or debit. Simple as that.

Oh grow up! They have never taken starter checka and you are no exception to thay rule. Though you obviously thing the sun rises and sets on your command...obviously, walmart introduced you to this great word: "no!"

Rude Employees

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My fiance and I went into the automotive section and there were several employees standing in front of the counter in a very narrow space right in front of the doorway. Noone greeted us. After about 20 seconds of being ignored, I said excuse me, we would like to ask about a battery. Are we in the right place? One employee curtly responded yes, then the other employees talked with one another about the person who I guess we needed to speak with having the information. A customer with a cart was coming through the narrow hallway, so my fiance and I had to literally walk back out the door to let him by. After standing outside for about 2 minutes without any further recognition from any employee who could easily see us from the bay area, I went back inside to hear one of the employees talking with the others about "getting blasted." I again said excuse me, we asked about being able to get a battery and are wondering who it is we need to talk to. The person telling the blasted story appeared incredibly annoyed that I had disrupted his very important conversation and said in a disrespectful tone that the guy was writing up another customer and would get to us when he can. I let him know that he was being very rude, so we were going to be taking our business elsewhere, and he just shrugged his shoulders. We left, and will not only be getting a battery from another store, but also the 4 new tires that we had planned to purchase there as well.

Walmart - Grapes Review from Atlanta, Georgia

I visited the new walmart, in biloxi, ms. I was gonna purchase some grapes.

Below the grapes the price says $2.48. When i check out i found out there by the pound. Most stores put pound behind the price. So i say i want the price it says, after 4 employees later i still have no grapes.

My cashier got mad after i showed her the price an threw her hands up. I asked her whats that supposed to mean, she ignored me.

I told them it was false advertisement an the assistant manager said i should already know grapes come by the pound. No, you should put the pound behind it like every other grocery market does

Everybody knows grapes are sold per pound. No wonder they got fed up with you.

I think you're being obtuse. In a grocery or produce store, I would agree with you that most people assume that grapes are sold by the pound.

I don't think this customer is being unreasonable, as almost all Wal-Mart items are fixed price. Also, it's Wal-Mart's responsibility, under commerce law and standards, to CLEARLY label the correct price.

As the OP said, there was no indication on the shelf label of the true price.

BULL! Look at the price per ounce. It was clearly marked.

"My cashier got mad after i showed her the price an threw her hands up. I asked her whats that supposed to mean"

That means you won.

You were her 1000th dumb@***s walmart shopper of the day that could not understand the obvious.

Look at the small print on the tag. It always breaks down the unit cost.

When an adult acts like a young child they are typically ignored. Try acting your age if you want better results.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that most produce is sold by the pound. And why does it matter anyways, I'm sure you had enough on your food stamp card to pay for it. When Bubba complains just tell him he has to go without his red bull and beef jerky this month

Went to wal mart #719 in richmond ky on 06/20/16 to purchase calritin d 24hr non drowsy for my 13yr old son who takes this year round for asthma related allergy issues.upon walking to the counter the clerk who had those silver dollar size loopsbin his ears told me i could buy the claritin unless i filled my prescriptions there,my son and i have nothing but otc medications.once i explained he said ok i could purchase them and immediately turned to the pharmacist lady who then informed the dose i was giving my son was to much(even though thats what his md prescribed)and thus i couldnt buy the product again. There is a bad *** issue in my area and thus i understand the need to regulate and monitor therl sales of these product, but i dont have anything to do with the manufacture, distribution,or use of the drug and did everyrhing required by law in my state to purchase this product.i was treated like a criminal/junkie without a shred of proof.this was not only embarrasing but somewhat slanderous in the fact there was no basis for their stereotyping and by the time i got to kroger and got his meds n got to work i was late and got 1/2 an attendance point.im one if the good guys, single parent n work 70hrs a week..ive been a loyal wal mart customer for 30 yrs but this experience will make me go elsewhere.that means nothing to wal mart the giant and thats sad

You can't. We've already established you are 13 and you constantly leave out punctuation, have run on sentences, fragmented sentences, misspellings, etc.

I am not sure why someone like you feels you are in any position to criticize others.

___________________________________________________________

Again you are making up stuff without backing it up with proof. If you had proof of this you would post the mistakes I have made. But you keep seem to think that I am a 12 or 13 year old kid.

You are stalking me thinking I am just a child. You wrote a letter admitting you sexually abused boys as a boyscout leader that speaks volume about the type of person you are.

You keep claiming you are not Kevin, but both of you have the same habits. Like posting as the OP and claiming that they abused their child.

Both of you accuse everyone that tells you off of being a child molester. Both of you refer to posters as children younger than 11.

The age varies. Both of you when you cannot quote anymore use _________________________________________________________

I think you had a bad pie. We've bought at least 100 of her sweet potato pies.

I bought 3 pies 2 weeks ago. Each time I ate a piece of the first pie, I went running to the bathroom. Same for the second pie. So I left the 3rd in the freezer.

My brother bought 2 pies. I was fine with each of them. So I decided to give my last pie a try. Once again, I went running to the bathroom.

We've been buying her pies for years. The 3 I bought were a bad batch.

Guest

I too became very violently ill (stomach flu) after eating one of the Patti Labelle pies from Walmart. I however don't think it's the pie per se but maybe the handling of the pies (not kept cool).

After realizing that my son and I ate practically the same thing for the last 2 days with the exception of that pie, I realized the issue.

The rest will be going into the trash. By the way, I bought it the day it was in the store and there is no printed expiration date.

Bakery

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ordered a specialty cake to be ready by a specific day and time. Got there to pick it up and the lady working had no idea about the cake.

They couldn't even find the order form. When they finally found it, it was stuffed in a drawer and not even started. The cake decorator was out. Manager was called over and they said to pick out a different cake for a discount.

DISCOUNT?????? No. It's not my fault that they have no organization at all and to top it off they didn't have anything for a boy. Get your stuff together.

Never ever will I order a cake from Walmart again. I have heard nothing but complaints about the bakery section and now I see why. So now here's the day of the party and by poor baby has no cake because you guys are the most unorganized. Thank-you for nothing.

I had to search for a cake elsewhere an hour before his party was supposed to start.

Regarding the way posted complaints are written on this site...

People need to realize and understand that the way they're perceived has a lot to do with the response they'll

receive.

This also includes how the complaint is written.

It is difficult to take anyone's complaint seriously when a complaint has spelling and grammar problems.

Update of my April 22, 2016 Walmart To Go Grocery Home Delivery

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user May 23, 2016

The Walmart Corporate Office has yet to contact me about my complaint of being charged "extra" undisclosed taxes on taxable items in response to all my Walmart to Go Grocery Home Delivery Orders. After contacting the local Walmart to Go Grocery Home Delivery Customer...

Original review May 22, 2016
My issue of those undisclosed "extra taxes" charged on all my Walmart To Go Grocery Home Deliveries has not been addressed or investigated. I have made SIX attempts with the Denver Walmart To Go Grocery Home Delivery phone customer personnel to no avail. I was told ALL SIX TIMES that a management personnel from the Corporate Office in Arkansas who supposedly set the taxes will return my call. There has been no attempt to contact me by anyone from the Walmart Corporate office that leads me to believe that Walmart KNOWS they are cheating customers by overcharging extra taxes to customers on Walmart To Go Grocery Home Delivery. So my next step is the Better Business Bureau. I will also post my Walmart To Go Grocery Home Delivery complaint on as many sites as possible except for yelp.com. Yelp.com marked my comments and complaints on this particular complaint as "not recommended." So on the yelp.com website the only way to view this complaint is to click on the "not recommended" tab. I am a 62 year old lady that has had many comments and issues posted on line and have NEVER had any of my complaints deemed as "not recommended" and all have been deemed appropriate by the website monitors. So, I will never use the yelp.com website again as others have complained about them as well.

Complain to the government, Walmart shouldn't/won't pay your taxes. A delivery company using contractor made the delivery, and the driver only received payment for miles driven, did you tip them? I doubt it when you are complaining about having to pay the tax owed on YOUR order

Elize Qal

OP:

Is there another update to this post of yours?

Did the BBB convince Walmart to compensate you regarding the undisclosed taxes?

Elize Qal

Are peace4earth and KT the same poster?

Elize Qal

From what I understand regarding the BBB is that the agency cannot force or make any business do anything. The BBB can contact the business regarding the complaint, but it is up to the business whether or not they want to do anything regarding the complaint.

The BBB is not a legal entity, and so no, there is nothing legally they can do about any complaint.

Quaron Gcz

Be careful anyone that tells her she is wrong she assumes works for the company. She has the nerve to call herself intelligent.

Nieshia Zmf

Thank you for the info. I know that the BBB cannot force or make a company do anything.

However, I have used the BBB concerning another company and I did get my $99 back from that company as well as an apology.

Sometimes companies will voluntarily settle a dispute in the customers favor to avoid negative reviews. Thanks again for the comment.

Guest

I am not a scammer or a child and I do not lie. I just thought that the way the question was posed was so rude and could have been stated in a polite way instead of asking "What do you expect the BBB to do?" I am an intelligent 62 year old lady and this is a valid and true complaint. Your statement was just so rude.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1163677

You seem to have a sensitive opinion of what is rude. I just read the comment you are referring to,and I didn't think it rude, I thought of it as a valid question.

The BBB can investigate this and give the company a low rating, but they cannot make the company do anything, so the question asked of you is valid; what do you expect them to do?

Not everyone is attacking you, so there is no need to come at every question or comment so defensively. Also, how is anyone that just came across this one complaint supposed to know it is part of a four part series?

That's not usually how people on this site to things, so expecting the readers to know there was more to this story is pretty unrealistic. I really understand why no one that you have talked to so far would want to help you since you seem like a difficult person to speak with, no matter how intelligent you are, or how valid your complaint, no one wants to help a rude person.

Elize Qal
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1164311

And the BBB is a not for profit organization. Basically it is an organization that deals with complaints.

Any business is not obligated to do what the BBB asks of them. It is their choice as to what they want to do.

In walmart Toa Baja we order a meal at time for an activity. The day of the event went to get dinner after an hour (1 hour) of which had been agreed. The dinner was not ready, the store manager did not appear and said to us, wait an extra hour for dinner ... The store manager was delayed and store associates did not want to provide information where to find it, fatal service, return money, which means that the cash saving does not work, because economics are looking for a hard time, waste of time and savings rather than spend more courage and spending time and money on products ....

Unfair Hiring

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had an interview with a man named Lance. throughout that entire interview, he downsized me and made me feel *** about earlier life decisions concerning the workforce. I'm 18 and have had 5 or 6 jobs since i started working at 14 years old. The reason for this is due to the fact that my mom was a gypsy and we moved just about every single year until I settled down once i moved away from my mom. He told me that he's had only three jobs since he's started working and he appears to be a 50 - 60 year old man. I found that very hard to believe. Before he explained this to me, he made a comment on my age. This made me feel that I was put at an unfair advantage. This is just a pissed consumer website, but I'm going to look over the app and go deeper with this. there was no excuse for this to happen. I'm appalled that somebody of a management position would do that to me.

People who have had numerous jobs in a short period of time are typically bad hires in my experience. It can often be a sign that they lack commitment when accepting jobs.

He shouldn't have been rude about it, but it is a valid concern when hiring.

Also....a 50-60 years old man with only 3 jobs is incredibly plausible.

Many people stay at the same place their whole lives.

I've worked for the same company since I was nineteen, ten years now. It was my first job.

I'm not in the same position that I was when I started as I have moved up since then, but it's really not all that unbelievable that someone in their fifties or sixties would have worked only two or three jobs in their lifetime. Like I said, I've been with the same company for ten years and have no plans to leave anytime soon because I am happy there.

It does, however, look very strange to have had so many different jobs at such a young age as eighteen. It makes it look as though you cannot hold a job for very long, which is a red flag for employers.

First B

There are people who do the same job for 30-35 years so the part about him having three jobs his whole life is not hard to believe. You should have just posted your last job next time.
