Protection plan for iPhone Sucks | Walmart review from West Chester, Pennsylvania

I bought a phone at walmart. (irrelevant info because no matter where you got the phone...you will wait). took a protection plan. Information says "receive your new phone overnight". WRONG. It is back ordered and I will be receiving a "refurbished" iphone in approximate 7 to 10 business days. WATCH OUT when buying phones and having to deal with this sort of ***. My carrier is verizon. Verizon you need to get a better company to handle your insurance. This sucks and I'm PISSED. Prior to committing to a carrier, review ans see who handles their extended protection plans. Watch out for Verizon. I would not recommend them to my worst eneny. I screwed and stuck without aphone for over a week.

probably bad karma for buying something as dumb as an iPhone. I guess you're just as simple minded as Apple.

On my visit to this Wal-mart on 3/18 I purchased some groceries totaling $154.73. At that time the mother of my child and I had intended to split the charges with me taking the larger of the difference, totaling $76.85. Once Lonita (the cashier who processed the...

Oh, but folks, it gets better. Did you also know that if you are beyond the free replacement period and into the proration period and you need a replacement, that they will credit you an amount that only they are able to figure out.

And better still, THEY WILL APPLY THE PRORATION TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF THE NEW BATTERY, BUT THEY WILL ONLY WARRANT THAT NEW BATTERY TO THE END OF THE OLD BATTERY WARRANTY PERIOD.

What a scam.

Site to Store Scam while on Mobile. | Walmart review from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

It appears WalMart is trying to keep customer from getting online prices while at the store or on their mobile device. I was at home and wanting to buy Turbo Tax. Web site says, site to store and pickup today for $42.97. Go to store and it is $49.99 on the shelf. So I pick up my mobile phone and try to order it Site to Store for 42.97, but no matter what I try, it forces me to the mobile site that says, Site to Store with the earliest pickup 2 weeks away. I go home and order it Site to Store with pickup today. So basically WalMart is trying to find a way to block you getting online prices while at the store eventhough if I would have ordered it five minutes earlier from home, I would have picked it up at the store.

I am completely satisfied with site to store and I have purchased several items, some big and some small. They do what they say they will do.

It's a smooth process. I don't work for Walmart and have no affiliation with them, just a shopper.

They generally go out of their way to help me. They are folks just like us, trying to earn a living, they aren't doormats.

Patrick
#452748

you're on crack. I'm sure the site just wasn't working right at the time, they aren't able to keep you from getting online prices while you're in the store.

next time, call to find out the price.

and if it's higher in store, buy online or do a price match. ***.

Walmart refuses to fix mistake on high priced item

I bought the Cricket Wireless Broadband from Walmart on Pawnee RD Wichita KS, Apparently when they scanned the activation code, it didnt activate it, so I called Cricket and they said "You need to take it back to Walmart and exchange it, there is nothing we can do, it was a mistake on their part" I went to Walmart armed with this info and I couldnt find my receipt. They refused to do anything, even tho they made the error!!! They SAID that even with a receipt they will not return the $130 I spent. Beware of buying electronics there......

I work in the electronics department. If you were charged for the item then it WAS activated.

The register won't complete the transaction if the activation failed. The problem is with Cricket. They gave you an automated response to get you off the phone.

Find the reciept and call CRICKET back with your activation number which is on the reciept. Seriously why wouldn't you keep your activation number until yu were sure it was done activating?

#456192

Seriously? For something that expensive for an item, you'd think you'd keep up with the receipt whether you know you'll need it or not.

I've made sure to keep up with all of my expensive electronic receipts; in fact I still have them even, after years and years.

Why don't you start building a portfolio to keep your data in that is important to you, like phone plans and etc, instead of being a kid and expecting people to keep up things for you. Walmart is not your parent.

#451323

But this is not the case of the greeter taking the receipt. Even if it were the case they would return it back. this is a case of an adult acting like a five old and acting like she did nothing in the wrong when it was her who lost the receipt.

Maybe that person at the WalMart entrance-the ones that bug the *** out of everybody-took your receipt when they said let me see your receipt to see if you had paid for everything in your buggy just before you went out the door.

If these people at the entrances of WalMarts reach out for your receipt "DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR RECEIPT" instead, tell them they can look BUT NOT TOUCH YOUR RECEIPT!!!!!!!!

Exactly the last sentence should not state. "Beware of buying electronics there.."

It should state, Beware of buying electronics there if you are careless and cannot hang on to a receipt. One would think an adult would admit their fault.

people need to learn how to keep something as simple as a receipt. when they lose it, they automatically blame everyone else.

Anonymous
#450901

How do they know you are not lying and claiming you lost your receipt. Remember if your story is true it was their fault for not activating the Cricket but whose fault was it that you lost the receipt.

You guessed it YOURS. Learn to be more responsible and this will not happen.

Slave Labor | Walmart review from Barberton, Ohio

My son works for Wal-Mart and due to being a minor, he gets his paycheck on a debt card from Wal-Mart. It won't work correctly at other stores and held his money for a week until it cleared the problem and it was from the Wal-Mart accounting department. I guess as they said you should have used your card at the Murphy gas station. I guess this is slave labor as you work for the company store. I will turn them over to the BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) as this is considered a hate crime for not letting a child get his money and make sure he spends it with Wal-Mart. I left the Indian Reservation due to they want the same thing from Native Americans stay on the reservation so they can collect monies for each Indian that will stay and let them run their lives. But at least, when they gave you your rations, you could use the money at any store even the liquor store off the reservation, which I didn't do. This is the worst company I have seen go directly downhill. I know as I have family that worked for Mr. Walton before he died. He made many of his employees millionaires and didn't say to them you must spend your money at my store. They just wanted to because he cared about his employees as they are your first line of customer service and when you are treated as the most recent employees, Dollar General will shut them down. Although, they think they can't be touched. Beware what goes around as Main Street goes around and Dollar General is taking more and more of Wal-Mart's money everyday even in the rural areas.

Wow, this isn't a hate crime. When he started, he had the option of how to receive his paycheck. He probably picked the card because Wallyworld promotes it so much, saying "you money is available instantly."

If he has a card, use the bank INSIDE THE WALMART to withdraw cash and just use that everywhere. Cash is accepted everywhere.

And Dollar General? What do you Indians learn on that reservation?

If you don't like the conditions at WalMart, then tell the kid to quit. You do NOT have a right to a job, anywhere.

You should be glad he was hired.

I do not hire Indians, no way, no how. I am surprised WalMart puts up with nonsense like this.

lol!! Dollar General will shut down WalMart??

Are you *** serious, or out of your mind?? FYI....all WalMart employess get their pay on debit cards, not only indians and minors. Your son had a problem which sounds like they fixed. It is not required to spend your check at the store.

You can use any ATM to withdraw your paycheck out of your account. This is nowhere near a hate crime...you sound like an ***!

I was leaving Wal-Mart, beginning to back up when I saw an employee gather carts behind me with the motorized cart stacker. He saw that I was leaving and then parked his buggy behind my car and left it. I began backing up and hit it. It is car level; I couldn't see it....

it's the original poster here again but I still want to remain anonymous. but the truth is, I hit the buggy on purpose.

I beat the *** out of my kid for getting an A- on a test, now I need to pay for his medical bills. so when the Walmart employee left the buggy, I saw the perfect opportunity to sue Walmart. it didn't work out though because the video showed that I was fully aware of the buggy being there. probably especially when I decided to push some of the carts out of the buggy, ride in them like a race car and when I ate a snack that I stole from Walmart while sitting on the buggy.

so now I can't sue Walmart and now the police aren't believing my fake story about my kid falling and landing on the sidewalk. especially after seeing bruises everywhere.
