Verified Buyer | Denver, ColoradoPickup order cancelled with no notice. I traveled 22 miles to pick up my order.
I placed an online order for a laptop charging cord that was shown on the Walmart website to be available at the store closest to me. I urgently needed the cord, which was the reason I chose to pick it up rather than having it shipped.
I was scheduled to pick up the cord today between 10 & 11 am.
I took off work, drove 22 miles to the store, arrived at 10:45 and called to let the store know I was parked in space C so they could bring the cord out to me. I was told they had no order for me. I provided my order # and the young man came to my car to look at the email I had received confirming my pick-up time. He checked my email and advised my order had been cancelled.
When I asked why, he said he didnt know but the item was probably out of stock and I should have gotten an email advising me of the cancellation.
I just received the email at 2:48 pm telling me my order was cancelled - and that Walmart had charged me $29 for the cord - the amount should be refunded to my bank account in 3 - 5 business days.
What a scam - this would be a GREAT Ponzi scheme.
Hmmmm. Maybe it already is
User's recommendation: NEVER arrange for “customer pick-up at the store. Walmart will charge you up front and you won’t have any idea if the product is available until you drive to the store and are advised your order was cancelled.

Preferred solution: They need to logistics software to be just like Amazon where the orders can be easily tracked! They also should NOT offer installation appointments for dates prior to the items arriving at the Tire Store location!
User's recommendation: Avoid Tire Store at Walmaet

Verified ReviewerMisleading, Difficult Return Process & Experience
Where to begin...I bought a couch from Wal-Mart about two weeks before Christmas. I wanted a cheap-ish couch for the basement.
The reviews were good and it was the right size to fit down the stairs so I went for it. It cost about 950$ so it wasn't that cheap. I'd never ordered anything from Wal-Mart before but they advertise that their return process is easy for online purchases. The couch was not what I was expecting so I decided that return it.
I spoke to someone via their online chat (it's not like they'll actually talk to you by phone) a few days after I got the couch. First, I was told to drop the couch off at my local store. (Clearly not paying attention to what I was trying to return.) After telling him that I could not drop it off, he told me that he would email me a return label and one of Wal-Mart's delivery partners would contact me within 3 business days to arrange the pick-up. I thought fine.
No refund would be processed until they received th item back in their warehouse. And then it would take several days after that. This was almost 1,000$ but it's reasonable to wait until they get back so fine. That was two days before Christmas so I wasn't really expecting much until the 28th or 29th.
Since the major winter storm hit during that time, I didn't push it. Once January came around and still no email and no contact from a delivery partner, I managed to reach someone by phone.
It was a painful experience. After talking and arguing with the person and close to 40 minutes of this had elapsed, I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. He gets on the line and says the first person who told me about the process before Christmas was wrong, that nobody would be contacting me because my information and return request wasn't forwarded to anyone.
Further, since nothing had happened with it, they closed my return request. If I hadn't insisted on speaking with a supervisor, I'd never have found out it was closed. He said he was sorry and he'd reopen it straight away.
Another week passes with nothing so I called again. Guess what?
Still nothing was done with my return request, somebody "forgot" to send it on. So I insist on speaking to another supervisor who apologises and says this time, it will really be sent. And now, it's actually been sent twice!
I actually received the email with tracking number which said someone from Canpar would contact me to arrange pick-up, which they did. Another one of Wal-Mart's delivery partners actually came to do the actual pick-up.
I contacted Wal-Mart again and said their partner now has the item and they should process the refund now but they refused. Another week goes by with no refund despite the warehouse having received it a few days earlier. I called again and they still refused the refund. They said it takes some time to process the item before they can process the refund.
I insisted on yet another supervisor who told me that the refund had actually been processed and I could expect to receive it in a day or two. Fine.
This brings me to today and guess what - no refund. I did; however, receive an email that said they had processed my refund today and I should see it in 2-3 days. This means that they outright lied to me when they told me my refund was processed a week ago.
I called and was told my only avenue to co.plwin further was to send them an email.
It was simply not possible to speak to anyone else. So I emailed requesting someone call me. I got a canned response saying that they'd love to know how they did with my customer service request.
Unbelievable.
I sent one more email and told them I need to hear from someone by Monday or I would be filing a formal complaint with the BBB for not operating in utmost food faith by intentionally deceiving and lying to me and for unreasonably denying my refund until almost a month after I started the process. I'm sure Wal-Mart couldn't care less about one little complaint to the BBB.
I intend to follow that up with a Small Claims Court action intentionally misleading me. 950$ is a lot of money for me and they e so far completely ignored my request for the interest paid since the return process was started. I have screenshots of my online chat and transcripts of the phone calls made.
I caution anyone thinking of ordering from Wal-Mart to think again and spend your money at Amazon instead. Their return process really is easy.
Preferred solution: Payment of 500 dollars on top of the refund they have allegedly processed to compensate the hours spent trying to resolve the matter
User's recommendation: Shop elsewhere.

Verified Reviewer | Peoria, ArizonaAuto dept not enough staff
2nd time I have gone to get my oil changed. Was there when they opened and they did not have enough staff to open.
Very complacent about that they cannot control when someone is late. No manager on duty he was late also. What kind of business is Walmart running. No one even cares that I gave up my time to get there as they opened to get an oil change.
I too have to work so getting there 1st thing is a must. If you cant hire enough people to work why do you even keep this auto shop open? I for one will never ever go back to this store.

Why should the person that wrote the software be fired? The program is set up to let you know when the tires arrive so you can make the installation appointment.
The problem seems to be that the tires were received into their system and weren't actually there, they arrived and were put in the wrong location so they couldn't find them, or they were put on the wrong car.
All human errors that had nothing to do with the way the software was written. Seems like you are blaming the wrong person.
