HORRIBLE RUDE CASHIER

Was in there Friday afternoon 4/26/13 about 3:30 p.m. Not a very busy time of the day.

Only had a few items (but expensive ones grrr) so went through the speedy lane right next to the door. The woman in front of me stood there and counted out change forever and then put her money away and re-organized her wallet while I (and 15 other people) stood behind her and waited. There is no conveyor belt on that line. The cashier, whom I've known since we were little kids, did not smile, did not acknowledge me in any way, was not wearing a name tag, had a shirt on with greasy spots all over it, and then had the nerve to point at the items at the back of the counter (which she could have easily reached had she bothered to lean forward and get them) and gesture at me to get for her so she could ring them up.

I spent $70 and she did not say one word to me the entire time. Not hello, not thank you, NOTHING.

WOW. Would have complained to manager but figured why bother...last time I did a couple years ago manager said to me "well lady what do you expect...this is WalMart."

So your mad because she didn't want to strain her back and has probably been standing on her feet for hours which would make the nicest person in the world grumpy? Just because you knew someone does not mean they have to recognize you, so grow up.

Also she probably cant afford to buy new clothes many Wal-Mart employees are on food stamps for a reason they don't pay us a living wage.

Justlettuknow you call us goons, but at least we aren't *** who don't check to see if all of our stuff is with us.

One you cant spell right and two your little rant didn't make any sense at all. Also have you thought that maybe you always get rude cashiers because you yourself are rude to them?

Guest

don't feel bad I always get a rude cashier. and they lie cheat and steal. walmart doesn't pay these goons enough many a times a bought things they wanted and did not place in my bag do not let them bag things for you.

You knew here as a child, sounds like you have had a grudge against her for a long time and you are looking for everything you can think of that is wrong with her. Not all the cashiers want to socialize, some just want to do their job.

Walmart - Coleman Above Ground Pool Review from Hammond, Louisiana

We bought a Coleman pool on line to be shipped to local store #386 in Jennings,LA. Boy what an ordeal. The pool was ordered on July 18 ,2015 and was to be delivered site to Store on July 31,2015. When it did not arrive, I tracked the pool on line only to fine out the pool had been shipped to Palestine,TX and then shipped to Opelousas, LA to the distribution center. I called the customer service line on two different occasions and got two different explanations as to why the pool was late. Very long story short......and after the run around we finally got the pool only to find out it had been delivered to Jennings store on August 1, 2015 when I was told it wouldn't arrive for at least 3 days. What the world Walmart? Don't you guys know what goes on in your own corporation? This has been an aweful, very unavoidable situation if you guys would get your mess together.

Walmart is rude

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Dangit, staff are so rude. I went in today and there were no handicap spots opened. Dangit don't they know being 500 pounds because I eat 12 big macs for every meal a day while I sit at home with my 9 children while my husband works 10 jobs, counts as a handicap. After screaming at the greeter because the red carpet wasn't rolled out for me I sat my butt down on one of the scooters with my bag of pork rinds to begin my shopping. I was angry that the deli didn't have enough popcorn chicken and that an associate got on to my kids for running through the store and tearing things up. Then when I got up to checkout there were 8 registers open with one person in front of me at the line I got in. I asked the cashier in the 12 items or less line I got in to call more cashiers up because I didn't want to wait a couple of seconds for the cashier to ring up the one bottle of Dr. Pepper the guy in front of me was buying. He refused and got mad at me because I was bringing my two cartloads of groceries through his 12 items or less line. It also infuriated me when one of my items rang up for one cents extra than was advertised. I screamed and raved even though he said he would fix it. How dare he!! That one cents should already be in the system! dang it dang it dang it. Walmart stinks!

A similar, hilarious, complaint could be written about the various "dollar" stores; same customers on a smaller scale.

Good job. This review sounds like 99% of the complaints on here and are by people who feel entitled not to have their feelings hurt.

Another 1% of the complaints here are by people who can't mind their own business. The rest are legitimate complaints.

ramjet

That's the point, most of the complaints here (and most everywhere else).

So now, no one has to send in any more Walmart reviews because it's already in.

Guest

And? I mean, they shouldn't leave it laying around, but your kid is 10. He should know not to play with knives.

Quanasia Fbj

What do you want them to do about this? It is your job as a parent to teach your child not to touch and take what is not his.

It is your job as a parent to teach your child not to play with knives, matches, and guns. It is your job as a parent to watch your child.

It is not their job to protect your child because you choose to neglect him. If your child got hurt it wold be your own fault for not watching him and for not teaching him that playing with knives is dangerous.

WalMart Gift Card Chicanery

This is kiting and fraud operation engineered by WalMart to make extra float on your money and launder it as genuine revenue to pad their books! I had the same. I paid CASH for a gift and made an order at walmart.com. They cancelled the order within MINUTES yet are still holding the money hostage 13 hours later! They also cited "security" as the issue. The only fraud I see is going on on THEIR end! It's interesting that money they claim isn't good enough to buy products from their site, yet it's perfectly good enough to earn a float from what they are claiming are fraudulent funds! I'm pretty sure there is a RICO violation somewhere in there! The FTC seriously needs to look into this scam and SHUT IT DOWN!!

And of course you are the same shills "downvoting" my review to cover for your bosses! Ha!

Kasaundra Snb

Oh you poor butthurt shills coming on as "Anonymous" and "random"! Kiting is using float to your advantage.

They are sitting on the refund and using money that is not rightfully theirs to get float. Use your names next time, you company shills!

ramjet

This is what kiting is. People used to do it alot but you usually can't get away with it anymore.

In the past, clearing checks between banks took extended periods of time.

Individuals used to take advantage of this delay and wrote "bad" checks to deposit funds before the checks were cashed.

Banks have tried to cut down on kited checks by placing holds on deposited funds and charging for returned checks.

Guest

You need to look up the definition of kiting.

MattD78

This is not a scam. Online stores do this all the time.

Yes, the money seems to be taken out of your account right away and so you expect it to be returned right away. It doesn't work that way.

Refunds can take 3-5 business days to appear back on your statement regardless of how short a timeframe between the purchase and refund, and in the case of gift cards it can take upwards of 30 days because there is rarely any information to verify that gift card belongs to a specific person unlike a debit card that has your name and account number. So no, this is not Walmart scamming you, this is an industry wide practice and neither the FCC, BBB , CTC or FTC will do anything about it.

I don't need to cover myself, I stand behind every comment I make. And if you are so thorough in your research you will see that I will defend a customer and even offer help when they are being screwed. But I will not abide an ignorant comment because someone doesn't know how things in retail work.

Credit card information stolen

My credit card information has been stolen twice in one year from someone hacking into walmart.com. I received several emails on July 22, 2015 saying my order for a 50" Samsung TV was being processed. The order was placed at 4:23 a.m. I contacted my credit card company and had the card canceled. I contacted Walmart (local store where TV was suppose to be picked up) and corporate. Both were totally useless and the customer service rep at walmart.com even said a lot of people have been calling in to say their credit cards are being used illegally. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll never shop that site again.

Same happened to me, but Walmart was the one who cancelled the order and called my bank. Then the guy tried to place a second order and I cancelled it myself and reset my account and deleted my saved credit card info (I was unaware it was saved).

Called the Walmart store where the items were to be picked up and they said their asset protection (security) team would intercept the person if they came in and they wouldn't be allowed to take the items. I did wait on hold for a long time though.

MattD78

What exactly did you expect Walmart to do after your card was compromised?

Walmart Pharmacy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered refills on-line, received a confirmation e-mail of the order. I went to pick up the refills. I gave them 2 days to fill them. Nothing. They had no idea who I was. After asking me several times my name and date of birth, finally decided they could fill the order. I waited 45 minutes. They came out and told me the refills had expired. By then, yes they had. When I ordered the refills, they hadn't expired yet. There were 3 days left on the refills. If they had filled them when they said they would, I would have had my pills. Being on a Saturday, they could do nothing about it. So I was forced to go 3 days without my blood pressure medications. Another time, they had no pills, and wouldn't have for another week. I had to transfer a prescription to another pharmacy to get it filled. I'm moving my prescriptions to a real pharmacy.

We live just outside of Cambridge and visit Wal Mart several times a week. The past few times that we have had any kind of issue from needing help finding anything to someone accidently rang something up double and had to be refunded for it, we have had to speak with a man in customer service by the name of Joe. This man is downright RUDE!!! He's a smartalic to begin with and obviously hates his job. He always rolls his eyes and sighs as if its some big chore to answer a question for you. I think he needs to find a new job or at least be spoken with about his terrible attitude and grow up! He's in a management position and treats the public like he's so much better than everybody else. Come on. Have some respect! Consumer from Cambridge, Ohio Wal Mart

Instead of having the manager answer questions take a parent shopping with you and have them answer your questions. How do I know you are a child, you mistake not getting personal attention as rudeness. He has other customers besides you so deal with.

No security in Parking Lot, 1604 at 281, SA Texas

Walmart

1515 N. Loop 1604 E San Antonio TX 78232

20 May 2015, 20:31:22,

Lack of Security -- zero parking lot security

I purchased groceries, walked to my car, exited the door located closest to thegrocery dept.

I am NOT a scarey person. Enroute to my car, a young man approached me and said, "Can you help me and my brother out with some food, a McDonalds or something?" And I said, "Sure, I will walk you into Walmart and buy you some McDonalds."

He started thrashing his hands around, and became angry and said, "That is NOT what I am talking about." (He was standing by the shopping cart return closest to the grocery dept, in case you watch the video.) (I existed Terrell's check out at 20:31:22) And I want to say Terrell is very professional and courteous.

Clearly, his "brother" was on the parking aisle across from my vehicle, I observed him leaning up against his car and watching his "brother" approach me. His "brother" watched me the entire time from the time I left the store until I walked to my car. He never left his position standing by the car. (One "brother" was standing across from my vehicle watching me whie the other "brother" approached me.)

I did not open by SUV door, instead, I reversed my direction immediately put my phone to my ear like I was talking extremely loud and rolled my cart back into the store, asked for a manager. I told John, a manager, about the incident. I also told him there is no security on the parking lot. He said, "They won't mess with me, if they do I will call the police."

When opening SUV door, John observed the two brothers, the one standing by the car had gotten into the car and the one who was canvassing the parking lot jumed into the car and they exited. I don't know if John even filed an incident report. His solution was to "call the police" if they messed with him.

What about Walmart security?

Certainly a good option but what good would that do if he has no way of knowing of parking lot incidents or if someone had already been acousted?

I called my family, two family members drove up immedediately, we live at Gold Canyon, and there was NO security on the parking lot, there was no security at the door or in sight. I realize Walmart certainly has security onsite to curb shoplifters, they are "unseen", but what about the parking lot? ALL the other Walmarts I shop at have visible security patrols.

I thought of calling SAPD and making a report but they would do nothing I am sure. So my only option is to post online with the store location to prevent others from being accousted on the parking lot with no security.

Please call and let me know why I cannot safely shop at the neighborhood store I have shopped at since it was built.

Very few chain grocery stores have security. I get approached with the "Excuse us, we're hungry and stranded" from *** addicts, etc like this all the time in parking lots, and guess what?

I keep walking.

It helps to wear sunglasses so they can't make eye contact or get out of the car with your phone pressed to your ear like you're talking so you can ignore them. Don't get involved, especially if you're a woman walking alone.

ramjet

I have never seen a security guard in ANY store's parking lot, not just Walmart.

Guest

Walmart doesn't have security. They have loss prevention.

Those are two completely different things, and loss prevention is not trained for what you seem to expect of them, the police are and that is what they are paid for.

I'm a 5 ft 2 in female and I know how to handle pan handlers and trouble makers when on my way to my car. Maybe you should take a woman's defense class.

Guest

My wife works at walmart. She has to carry pepper spray. Nuff said.

Legion Clq

Saying walmart should have it's own security team is like saying you should probably hire your own bodyguard.

Guest

Walmart only cares if someone tries to steal their product. They could care less if the customers or employees are in danger.

If they cared there would be guards in the parking lot and in the store.

I hope they read this. Yeh, right.

Andrea Ahw
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-986977

How many retailers do you shop with that have security? None.

That means that no one you give your money to cares about your safety.

It is your job to protect yourself. Hire a bodyguard if you are that scared.

Guest

Yeh, right. Walmart security.

What a joke. They only care about money.

The less they have to pay for security, the happier they are. It's all bout money for them.
