Walmart - Oil Change Review from Morrow, Ohio

I went to Walmart on 10/09/14 @ the Whitehall location. I had no issue w/ the oil change. I just noticed later that $15 to $20 of quarters, I use for the carwash disappeared. I leave the coins in the center console of my car. Its a shame you cant even take your car in for oil change, w/out something disappearing. It be my last oil change @ Walmart..

You should never leave money or any other kind of valuables in your car when dropping it off for anything. You should have learned that from your parents when you first started driving.

Yes, shame on them for the theft, but shame on you for not using common sense and taking the money out of the car before dropping it off. Fyi, it's also not a good idea to leave Christmas presents and other purchases where people can see the I'm the car.

Blatant shoplifting

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Was in line paying for groceries when a 30 something man walk up to cashier with 3 items in his hand and asks for a bag. The cashier let him put his items in a bag and he walked out of the store. The items were clearly not paid for....the cashier said people do that all the time and Walmart doesn't care. He said people walk out with carts full of things everyday. The people at the doors are busy visiting with each other and aren't really paying attention to what is going on...it is a joke! They must all be covering for each other. Also, an associate was walking around smoking an electric cigarette, really, is that allowed? A bad example for the children in the store and very disrespectful to everyone else.

For the e cigarette that is not allowed, but unless they actually see the person walk out without paying they cannot do a thing, guess they could ask for a receipt, but you would not be willing to risk your life to stop a shoplifter so why expect them to, they have families, this is only handled by trained security who can defend themselves and make the arrest safely. Besides they cannot even stop a person unless they see them steal and the greeter is there just to greet and check receipts if they don't want to show they are not obligated to show the receipt.

You do have a valid point there about not being able to shop shoplifters, what angers me the most is that about a year ago I was caught and the police were called, no charges were pressed but I was caught shoplifting in this same store. I am angry that these other people are allowed to get away with it and I was caught and the police and my parents were called.

I would not risk my life to stop shoplifters I am only 17. It is not fair that I got caught and these people are allowed to leave with carts of stuff. I was going to get a car for getting my license but because of this my parents did not get me a car.

I have to pay the price while they get away with it and it *** me off. I was also banned for a year so when my friend hung out there i had to lie and make excuses of why I could not go with them.

You're a ***. You do realise you're complaining about being not being allowed to break the law.

I wish you had your car, that someone stole it and got away with it. You're a spoilt brat and it's GREAT that your parents stopped rewarding you. If you're not embarrassed about what you did, why not just tell your friends that you're a criminal and that's why you can't 'hang' with them.

***. Grow up, earn some money, buy what you can afford and stop being a cry baby.

Fellow Walmart customers are just annoying and rude.

This isn't as much a Walmart complaint as it is about the other customers in the store. They just really tick me off and I need to vent.

First off, today, I was walking into my local neighborhood market store and this car just kept following me and acting like I was in his or her way. They sped up after I made it ahead of them towards the door nearly hitting me. Then the customers inside were mean and disrespectful. Some of the customers beeping around in those grocery wheelchair carts-whatever they are?(I thought those were meant only for old people)weren't even old, they were just major league fat and seemed too lazy to walk around the store pushing a cart.

They were running me down constantly or just purposely getting in my way to where it was hard for me to shop. Then(and this seems to happen everytime)when I was checking out this lady comes up behind the self checkout I was on and stood almost right on me like she was wanting me to hurry up. She kept watching me and giving me no privacy to slide my card and do my transaction. Nevermind that there was two other self checkouts that were open and empty.

She had to be in MINE.

I swear they do this *** just to try to get a rise out of you. Now I vented.

People *** me off.

I can't help but agree with this person on some things. Unless they are like family or friends they are with the person in line behind someone at a checkout shouldn't be right up on top of them.

That is just rude and invading someone's personal space.

I imagine it was some woman in a hurry and she had only a few items, but if there were other self checkouts open like this person says then she has no right to be mad at the person in front.

Guest

It is all about you isn't it?

Guest

I am in my 30's and had to use those motorized, wheel-chair type carts when I was recovering from ankle surgery. I find it incredibly ignorant that someone would think they are for the elderly only.

I am more annoyed by groups of people stopping in the middle of aisles to conduct family reunions and little kids running amok.

Women with strollers are also a major danger. Overall, I find Walmart employees and customers alike to be major pains in the backside and I avoid this chain as much as possible.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-844077

But you can't deny that there are some seriously just lazy people who use those carts as well, which is taking from someone like you who may actually need them. I have also seen unsupervised children play on those carts and drive them all over the store. They need to like have the door greeters start reserving those or something for only those who need them.

First B

"She kept watching me and giving me no privacy to slide my card and do my transaction. Nevermind that there was two other self checkouts that were open and empty."

And when she was doing this you didn't flip her the bird because?

Guest

You poor baby! Those electric carts in stores aren't just for the elderly.

They are also for people with physical disabilities. Not all people that use them are fat. I see plenty of skinny people using them too. I use them and my major complaint is the ambulatory people that block my path and the parents who let their really little kids run unattended all over the store.

There are all kinds of ambulatory people that think it is polite to stand in a group while visiting and blocking an aisle or just kind of sauntering down the middle of the aisle while yakking on their cell phones. You shouldn't almost get ran over by these carts because they can be heard a little ways away.

It is just as much your responsibility to watch out for your safety, as it is the responsibility of the other customers. Grow up!

Not to mention obesity is a disability. People aren't just fat because they're lazy. There could be medical reasons they are overweight and need a cart.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-844274

Have you seen ANY of the studies done on American obesity?

Most people in America are overweight because they choose to be, and most people who HAVE a disability are MORE overweight than they could be.

Disabled senior citizen verbally chastised by a rude Walmart Employee

My husband who is partially paralyzed by a stroke uses a scooter to get around.May 2,2014 at approximate 3pm he attempted to use the family /disabled washroom ,at the front of the store right next to the other public washroom.Because of his condition its difficult as well as unsafe for him to go alone into the men's room alone unless there is no other choice.I tried the door it was locked we waited for at least ten minutes tried the door again thinking someone may have locked the door by mistake. Finally he feared he couldn't wait any longer he went into the men's room alone only to discover he couldn't manage and came back out.I had stepped away for a couple of minutes so I missed him coming out he tried the washroom door again finally a Walmart employee emerged. My husband asked him why he would use a designated wash room when right next door the able bodied employee could use any number of toilets.Needless to say the employee proceeded to give a seventy year old cripple a dressing down when my husband said he'd have him reported he told him to go ahead. We asked to speak to a manager and where directed to a assistant manager Jerry who listened to our complaint then a second assistant manager arrived they tried to figure out who the employee was which turned out to be a Tony Fisher.Jerry said he guessed he could take him into the office and talk to him beyond that what did we want .An appolgy was what I suggested.Tony was summoned he admitted what happened with no apology and stated he couldn't care less if the disabled man sitting in front of him couldn't get into a wash he could leave the store.I was flabbergasted that this man would speak to any customer little lone a disabled man in front of his bosses no less.Tony Fisher is a rude man who seems to feel he can run ruffshot over customers and obviously management.During this ordeal neither assistant manager spoke up to him at all I did my best to defend my husband, but it was useless this man couldn't of cared less. Finally the women assistant manager told Tony Fisher to go back to what he was doing she walked away and the assistant manager Jerry not sure what else could be said after the insult to us said he was sorry.I can not believe that a Walmart would allow an employee to verbally attack anyone never mind a senior citizen who is disabled and can not defend himself. These family /disabled washrooms are used by employees to hide many times we've waited and waited then an employee emerges .I don't know what else I can say the experience was was beyond was is exceptible if I hadn't witnessed it I wouldn't of believed it.Shame on Walmart employing a man so disrespectful as Tony Fisher. The Walmart is in Weston West Virginia 26452 store number 1653.

My censored word is a-s-s-h-o-l-e, and the OP is being an *** by demanding an apology then claiming that when Jerry did apologize for Tony's behavior that it was an insult. Basically they think because they are old and disable the whole world should bow down to them.

None of this rudeness would have happened if he poor pathetic disabled husband did not give Tony a lecture.

If her poor disabled pathetic helpless husband had kept his mouth shut than Tony would not have told him off. The husband started the whole thing by telling Tony off but poor disabled pathetic old husband could not take what he dished.

You're a disgusting human being. point blank.

First of all, she DID NOT say that Jerry's apology was an insult, she said that all that he could think to do after THE insult (Tony's), was apologize. Second, the employee DEFINITELY deserved a lecture for using a bathroom that is clearly meant for those that are disabled, when he wasn't disabled, and there are plenty of non-disabled bathroom stalls available. And lastly, who the *** do you think you are calling a disabled senior 'pathetic'. You're pathetic in every sense of the term.

Clearly, you have no common decency. You're complete and utter waste of space.

Inconsiderate people like you make me want to vomit.

reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-812073

They are pathetic, the cannot finish what they start. The point is they apologized to this couple and this couple can dish out abuse and when they get stood up to they can't take the abuse anymore, they play I am an old pathetic disabled person who cannot defend myself. I am Tony put them in their place and did not allow them to get away with rude abusive behavior just because they are old and disabled, and from the description(to make us fell sorry for the husband) the wife made him sound like he is pathetic and weak and useless

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of First B

A. The Tony employee was a ***.

A major, major ***. While I don't think an apology should have been coerced or required, he definitely should not get away with his belligerence towards the customers. B. The general public often does not understand that employers are not going to discipline employees in front of them.

That is done behind closed doors. C. I would venture that "Tony" was in the handicap/changing room because he needed to conduct some private bathroom business, i.e. he had to go #2.

Or, is it possible he has a physical aliment that necessitates using the handicap bathroom? I myself have an ankle injury, and after 2 surgeries and 2 years healing time, I can finally walk OK, but I still have problems and try to use handicap stalls when possible.

If someone ever confronts me, they will have one highly pissed off person to deal with. And, in my case, there won't be any manager for that person to run and get to report me.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-811410

Exactly there could have been a good reason that Tony was in the handicapped washroom, but this couple thinks that the world owes them because they are old and the husband is disabled. Not only does the husband give him a lecture about using the washroom, when Tony stands up for himself he plays I am a pathetic old disabled person who cannot defend himself, well don't go around starting things if you cannot defend yourself.

Being old and disabled does not give them a right to disrespect others and apparently this poor pathetic disabled husband cannot take what he gives out. He plays the I am pathetic and disabled and defenceless when put in his place.

He was not pathetic, and helpless when he gave Tony a lecture. No one is saying Tony is a saint and was right, he was wrong, what people are failing to see is these old people were rude and are using their age to get away with it.

First B

Well Tony is a ***, but I am sure when they hired him they had no idea he was a ***. Yeah companies like this sometimes have favourites.

I seriously doubt that during the interview Tony was being stuck up so they had no idea he was stuck up. Sometimes customers also use those washrooms when they should not, what is the difference between a customer using that washroom and an employee using the washroom? Both are disrespectful.

I am sure he will be talked to over it privately as Harris stated. Harris is right fake apologies mean nothing.

Guest

I agree that the Tony dude was rude, but what did you expect the manager to do? Give him a spanking and tell him he has been a bad boy.

The manager already said he would talk to him privately in the office about this, it was taken care of, and a forced apology means nothing. Discipline usually happens behind closed doors.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-811358

These people are old and disabled and they expect to get special treatment because they are old and disabled, though the issue was resolved they still want a public apology. Also honey, it is not just Walnmart you will get *** anywhere, including your husband who thought it would be a good idea to lecture him about using the handicapped washroom.

He was not old and defenceless and disabled when he gave the employee a lecture but once someone defends themselves you claim he is old, disabled and helpless. Also Jerry did apologize for the incident and that was "insulting" when an apology was what you wanted. Tony was wrong but this whole review says I am old, I am disabled I can do whatever I want, say whatever I want, and will play the I am a pathetic old person if someone stands up to me.

The world is full of Tony Fisher's and you ban an entire company because of one man, it is like those racists that assume blacks are thieves because of a few people, or that Jews are cheap because of a few Jews.

Walmart Tried to Break My Van!

I am writing this review to inform all readers of this site of the deplorable service I received at Walmart store #05233 at 5675 W 6200 S in West Valley City, Utah on July 1, 2014. To begin, I was on a long trip with my family when our 2011 Toyota Sienna showed that it needed oil service. Being from out of town I went to a national chain, hoping it would be a location I could trust. I asked for a basic service, listed on the chart as being $31.88. When I returned after a half hour, the bill was $37.57, before taxes. Upon questioning the workers as to why this was the case, I was forced to wait an additional 30 minutes while they tracked down the department manager. Apparently they had to pull our style of filter off the shelf and use more than the regular amount of oil, which made the service more expensive. This all would have been fine, except they failed to inform me of the additional price. The manager violated the second “Pledge” to customers found on the back of my receipt, “We will not exceed the estimated cost of services without your permission.” No one called me, though they had my phone number on file. When I brought up the fact that they had the make and model of my van and should have been able to know from the beginning that my oil change would exceed the price of a typical change, I was told that “the same make and model of vehicle could have many different types of oil filters.” A quick google search proved that statement to be a lie, as can be seen here: While some dimensions may be slightly different, all the filters shown are of the paper variety, and none of them are the typical screw-on cartridge that are kept in the back room. Three days later, my wife noticed oil under the van, so I took it back to have it checked. When I arrived, I explained that the van was leaking oil and that it never had before. The manager (the same one that lied to me previously) was extremely rude and condescending as he agreed to check to make sure the problem was with their work. The technicians that originally serviced my vehicle had stripped out the gasket in the filter, broke the oil cap, and bent part of the valve cover (which I only discovered upon having the van re-serviced once I got home). The manager dealt with those issues for free, but continued his rude and condescending manner, treating me like I was at fault for his crew’s shoddy work. Once I returned home, I took the van to my local dealership to have it checked out and make sure that further damage was not done. It was here that they told me about the bent valve cover, as well as the fact that the technicians used the wrong grade of oil, which could have done even more damage to the engine in the long run. Therefore, I had to pay $57.80 to have everything done again, but this time correctly. In sum, these were the problems with my service: Overcharged without my consent. Lied to about ability to determine filter style, and thereby price before service began. Broken oil cap Bent valve cover Incorrectly installed filter Deceitful, inept, disrespectful manager. As I understand it, changing the oil on a vehicle is supposed to be one of the simplest procedures for a garage to perform. It is ridiculous that my experience was so poor. I will never shop at any Walmart ever again, and I will be telling everyone I know how terribly I was treated.

I hate that company.

They force their employees to get food stamps, have been caught forcing people to work unpaid overtime, hire illegals for pennies an hour for their night crews, destroy small businesses, are racist and sexist.....on and on and on.

One of the most money making businesses ever and don't pay their employees enough to feed themselves.

this is the typical walmart experience. just be glad the engine didn't explode on your way home. I would never go to walmart for an oil change or any kind of work on my car and I guess you have now gotten that same message!!

Discriminations against non-white cosumers.

I'm not white. I shop at all the Walmarts in the Winchester VA area.

They never have most items restock and never clean any of their shelves. Its always dirty and the price tag never match any of the items. As for a non white customer they treat you like trash. We used our EBT card and a lot of their cashier always give me a hard time.

children and I are always followed most of the time. They think we are going to steal something but we never did anything wrong but we are always watched like they hope we would do something. My friend who's family are blacks was confronted by a shopping cop. He was asked by the store manager to approached my friend and their kids and asked them if they were stealing doing.

When my friend said no, they cop told them that "we're watch you and if we find out that you are stealing. I'm going to come to your house and look for any stolen merchandise and I'm going to put you all in jail or worst you all will be kick out of your house and you'll have to go back to your country. This was so wrong in so many level. But I too was approached by store employees and asked if I was "going to shop today or steal stuff"?

When I asked what they employee had just said to me...he laughed and walked away and said under his breath I'm calling the cops". That's not the worst thing that can had happen. One store employee left the store and drove his car out of Walmart parking lot and came right be said my car and said "I'm taking down your tag and I'm giving to the cops. Go shop some where else." All this in front of my children all under 11 yrs and the same with my friends family.

Its so wrong and no one can do anything about this????? Were not white so who is going to believe us. Walmart got good prices but their stores, employees are the worst in retail by far!

This there anyone who can do anything about ? It long over due for change!

Racist fat white woman work there with the mall cop security types that will never get hired in law enforcement. They need to hire more then white trailer trash.

Guest

Why are you complaining about the prices? It is not like you are paying with your own money you earned.

You have no right to complain about dirty shelves when you don't have a job and live off hard working tax payers. Why not use this as an opportunity to get a job, be the one to get paid to clean the shelves?

That way you are not a burden to tax payers. I get it you are too "sick" or "physically disabled" to get a job, yet you are not too "sick" or "physically disabled" to go out shop, possibly go to a few parties ect.

Guest

I don't think this has anything to do with being black, it has more to do with your getting free food rather than getting a job to earn your food. If they were hiring they should have pointed to the help wanted sign.

They were treating you badly because it was them paying for your food through taxes. Then to top it off you cannot afford to take care of yourself and you have children to feed, that is just sad, they are not only feeding you but your children as well.

Coupons

Hello, I went to Clarksdale, MS Wal-Mart on Sept.8,2014 and I was treated as if I was a criminal. I was embarrassed, in front of a lot people I had purchased my item the coupons worked for the items I don't see what was the problem. If the coupons don't work the coupons goes green on the screen. I will not shop there anymore. If items are already purchased do they suppose to take items back? This was the worst thing happen to in a public places. I do not think I had done anything wrong. The coupon worked for my items. The workers treated me unfairly.

Completely disrespected by Manager of Jewelry Counter

I purchased an engagement ring from Walmart on March 28, 2014. A week ago, a diamond fell out of the ring. Today i took it back to the SAME Walmart I purchased the ring from to have it sent out for repair (has a 1 year warranty provided by walmart at no extra cost). When I took the ring in for re-sizing, around 3 weeks after purchase, I was told I did NOT need the receipt for any repairs regarding the ring, because everything was in their "book" that they keep on the counter. I told the manager, Elda, that I did not have the ring, and explained that I was told by the previous employee that helped me, that I did not need it because everything was in their system/book.

The manager explains she needs the UPC code, so she asks me to come around to the other side of the jewelry counter to show her which ring I have. I point out the exact same ring, and she shakes her head and says "No, That's not it."

I tell her "yes, that is the ring, look at it, it's the exact same thing." , At which point she responds again with "no, that's not the ring" She then looks at me and asks me "You spent that much money on a ring?" I have NO idea what she meant by that besides being disrespectful! I suppose in her opinion you have to look at a certain way to be able to afford a $700 ring?? So I told her that I had actually bought a more expensive ring to begin with, and it could not be sized down to the proper size so I ended up having to settle for the ring in question.

She then PUTS MY RING ON HER FINGER AND WEARS IT, while filling out paperwork, even though I had the original box, that I brought it to the store in.

She fills out the envelope to send the ring off, and I ask for a receipt/proof of me leaving the ring in their possession, and she denies me any formal proof, and gives me a piece of the envelope with a date written on it, and would NOT sign it or put her name on it acknowledging that I dropped this ring off for repair.

I tried to find a store manager to make a formal complaint and could not get in contact with one. So I came home to fill this out.

I have never been disrespected like this in ANY store for ANY reason. I was absolutely appalled at the fact that she would tell me the ring i'm pointing out to her is in fact the same model that I purchased, just to deny it because she personally didn't think i could afford it?! This is COMPLETELY unacceptable behavior and I will continue to pursue this and escalate it as far as I can/need. I will be calling the store and trying to contact a manager on the phone and I will return to the store today and try again in person. I will not accept to be treated this way by an employee at any business.

$700 for an engagement ring? You rednecks really are a disgrace to this country.

Guest

How did you plan to get a ring repaired without taking the ring in? They can't repair NOTHING.

Did you mean you didn't take your receipt?

That would make more sense. There are definitely some holes in your story.

First B
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-854805

I think he just typed the wrong word here, I think he meant he did not take the receipt in, not that he did not take the ring in, it is obvious isn't it?

Guest

Nope, the real reason she knows that you did not purchase that particular ring was because like you said they keep it on file what right you purchased. In other words they know that you purchased a cheaper ring and were trying to get a $700 ring claim the band broke.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-854572

I also find something fishy about this story, if he needed them to repair the ring, he would need to bring it in the store right. Why would he want a ring repaired and not bring it in for repairing.

Then notice how he claims he talked to the manager, then he claims he will talk to the manger later on and this is not over. His story does not add up, he first claims he never brought in the ring then he claimed he would not get the ring he dropped off for repair.

Quotes

" I told the manager, Elda, that I did not have the ring, and explained that I was told by the previous employee that helped me, that I did not need it because everything was in their system/book."

then he claimed to have the ring and it was in their possession

"She fills out the envelope to send the ring off, and I ask for a receipt/proof of me leaving the ring in their possession"

Kudos to the manager for sticking to their guts and not allowing him to have a free $700 ring and raising prices for everyone. Theft and scamming is what raises prices for us all.

Walmart - Manager Review

Their greeters are profiling consumers, after shopping their I am asked by one of their greeters to see my receipt after I see a white customer walk out without even being asked to show theirs. This is harrasment, I can shop anywhere else and not have to go through this. I don't feel comfortable or welcomed as a customer. Why would they need to look at your receipt. They have security teams as well as cameras and security tags. Only after I asked to speak with his manager was I allowed to leave with no further issues. Walmart needs to get rid of their greeters, they serve no purpose but to harass customers by profiling them and drive them off.

I have never seen a WalMart greeter stop a person unless the buzzer goes off as the customer enters the greeting area. There is more to your story than is being told.

Guest

So because you are paranoid and think everything is about your race you think they should get rid of the greeter, the greeter positions come in great when there is a lost child, they lock all the doors and make sure that the child does not leave the store. I know I lost my seven year old and they were all watching the doors.

So because you are paranoid you think they should get rid of all greeters? This would allow lost children to leave the store unattended and go into the parking lot. I have seen greeter stop children under the age of ten leaving the store without a parent so because you think the greeters are all racist and there is no need for them that position should be taken off. Many people who are greeters are disabled, so perhaps by saying that they should get rid of greeters you are discriminating against disabled people?

Or perhaps you are the racist one by assuming that because someone is white and they stop you they are racist? Perhaps it is you who is racist against whites as well as discriminating against disabled people. See how easy it is to play the race card, I bet you don't like being accused of discrimination so don't do it to others without proof, and before you go around making assumptions get your facts straight.

I am white and I am stopped by greeters if I don't have bags. So your claiming the greeters don't stop white people makes this review invalid and makes you look foolish.

You are asked based on what is in your cart: for example, if you have a lot of unbagged merchandise and the white people don't that's why you would be stopped and they wouldn't. Also, if they have you stopped already they wouldn't be able to stop the next white person (or black person for that matter) because they are with you.

As fat as the security, they can only do so much and sometimes shoplifting slip past them which is where the greatest come in.

My advice is to stop paying so much attention to race. You'll live a much happier life.

You could be right but playing the race card is much easier for people.

Walmart - Manager Review

I am a disabled 15 your combat veteran served in Iraq two tours. I'm traveling cross country, & I stopped at a Walmart at 380 and Custer Road in McKinney Texas to take a break and repair the camper. We picked up some steaks, they were rancid, we brought them back, they would not give us store credit or refund. They insisted we must get food items only, and then they decided that they wouldn't give us a refund. The guy at customer service said We never dropped off the meat, we did drop off the meat, and they were supposed to pull the tapes to find out who was telling the truth this morning at 8 o'clock. At 9 o'clock I'm served with a notice from the assistant manager Daniel, who said that I must remove my camper they are not an RV park, and that he's going to call the police and have me towed. And that he knows what we're doing! I asked him what he was talking about and he ran around my camper taking pictures. This is absurd as I don't even know what I'm doing, let alone how could he know what I'm doing.I try to talk to him when he insisted that we parked in front of the sign that said no RV parking, and I asked him to show me where. I know It did not say that, that I did read it prior to parking. He did not give me an opportunity to show him on the sign were it It did not say that and tried to explain that we were directed to a website that listed rv parking overnight at selected Wal-Mart's. Befire i could finish the word corporate he said he didn't give a *** what corporate said and he was calling the cops. He was rude and disrespectful and my entire experience this 24 Hours at Walmart permanently disgusts me and I can't wait to tell the rest of the freakin world just how disrespected I was in a Walmart parking lot, it wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for the likes of me and people like me. And if he chose to judge me because my camper is 8 years old, or my walk was too slow, I am 50 years old and was severely disabled in Iraq 8 years ago defending freedom so he could have a family and a job. Thank you Wal-Mart for making sure your position of a positive influence is neglected and yet again the epidemic of bad, disrepectful, and accusatory management at your Custer road store. Not only was I disrespected, but I was ripped off of 37.00 worth if steak that I couldn't even get reimbursement for. Now that im retirwd, I will take the next 6 months spreading my story to everyone that will listen. Starting with this letter to you explaining why you have one pissed off combat vet with a new vendetta.

Walmart is not an rv park. Just because you're a veteran doesn't mean you can park your stuff wherever you want.

You have a lot of nerve telling me where I can park and where I cannot park. I risked my life for ungrateful people like you and you come on here and verbally assault me and tell me that I am wrong?

I risked my life for those who work in the store and they threaten to call the police on me because I was breaking one of their rules not the laws. This is more my country than yours and the people who work there because I risked my life for you ungrateful bastards and this is the abuse I get. He would not have a job if it were not for me, he would not have a family if It were not for me. Remember 9/11, if it were not for me fighting for our nation we would have more events like this.

If it were not for me you may not be alive because of terrorists attacking our country, same with the manager who was disrespecting me. If it were not for me you would be worrying every second of your life about having another 9/11, so before you go around making your idiotic comments think of the sarcrifice I made so you can live peacefully with your family. You and the manager are ungrateful idiots. You people have no right to show disrespect to me.

I risked my life so you can live peacefully with your wife and children and this is the thanks I get. Your idiotic comment, and him calling the cops on me. I risk my life for you ungrateful brats and this is the thanks I get.

Why not leave my country and live elsewhere where you have to worry about your safety. Ungrateful ***.

Blah blah blah. Way to make an ASSumption.

I am a retired combat veteran myself and nothing grinds my gears more than fellow veterans throwing their service in other people's faces. You risked your life for your country? So did I! The only difference is I don't use my veteran status to get special treatment, discounts, etc.

It was an honor to fight for my country and I would do it again in an instant and yet I find it in my heart to PARK WHERE I'M SUPPOSED TO. I sacrificed a lot to protect my nation, including my health, my marriage and my youth but I still don't expect special treatment from everyone I meet. Follow the rules, buddy.

You're not above them, no matter what your past. God bless America.

My father is a disabled veteran and attitudes like the one you have are a complete disrespect to him and other veterans.

Just because you are a veteran does not mean you are an exception to rules and the law. I do not know exactly what happened in this situation at Walmart.

I do know that there are three sides to every story. Your side, their side, and what actually happened. I don't know, but I have a feeling that you left out a few bits and pieces of the story.

If the fact that you are a veteran has anything to do with the story, by all means use that fact.

I do not see what you being a veteran has to do with this. Unless the manager said "I'm treating you this way because you are a veteran!" then your veteran status has NOTHING to do with this situation. Period. At all.

POINT BLANK.

I do thank you for your service, though. But please don't use the fact to get what you want all the time.

Stop throwing 9/11 around like you're a hero. You're not.

You're a redneck that was nowhere near DC, PA, or NYC on 9/11/2001. I am from NYC. I experienced it all. You did nothing but fake an injury while in Kuwait where there was no fighting, just to "retire" at 42.

Yes I know who you are, and you know who I am. You are a phony soldier.

Walmart - Cashier Review

My debit cards were stolen by some teens and used at walmart to purchase almost $800 worth of merchandise. The teens used the self checkout line at 3am, swiped my card as a credit to avoid needing a pin#, and no ID was needed or asked for. Watching the tape, At one point a cashier helped the boy checkout the TV!! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? the self checkout, though meant to help expedite your shopping trip, enables thieves in their mission to clear out your bank accounts! Is there no limit on how much you can purchase in a single swipe on a credit card in that lane? Especially at 3am! I am very pissed that such a Corporate Giant such as Walmart can let this happen! All they have to do is have the kiosk notify the cashier of a credit purchase over $X to come over and check ID! If that had been done, i wouldnt been missing my hard earned money! It would have been obvious to anyone that the 17 yr olds using my card were no a 30 yr old woman!!

I have not yet been to a business where my ID was required for my credit or debit card. In fact, most credit card companies give their members the right to refuse showing their ID which makes checking for ID pointless.

Working as a retail cashier for another company, no customer ever asks, comments, or even shows their ID when making a credit or debit transaction, and we are not required to ask unless the POS system requires us to due to the customer's bank's requisition.

So say assuming you've been shopping at any other businesses, have they all asked for your ID? I'm truly curious because I have yet to encounter a business which has done so.

Guest

Really?

"...notify the cashier of a credit purchase over $X to come over and check ID!"

1st off - That would be a nightmare to you as well since it would cause HUGE delays in the checkout lines, hence giving "customers" like you something else to complain about.

2nd - Retailers aren't required TO check id with a debit card.

3rd - Your "hard earned money"?

I've never heard of a consumer losing money when there are fraudulent charges...unless a very long time passed until you noticed your account was off - not Walmarts responsibility.

4th - Speaking of responsibility...where's your's in all this? How did "some teens" get hold of your card? Don't you keep it in a purse, wallet or other safe place? Or is that Walmart's fault too.

C'mon...you would be the first to complain if the checkout line was taking twice as long due to an I.D. check.

Guest

Well you are 30 years old as you state not 5 years old as you act, why not take responsibility for your own carelessness instead of blaming someone else. If you had been careful with your belongings this would never have happened. Grow up and blame the person who is really responsible.

Guest

I doubt Wal-Mart let you see the video. The police, yes.

In any case, had you set alerts on your card, you wouldn't be missing your hard earned money. Most people get upset when they're asked for ID. They dont realize it's for their own protection. Until something like this happens to them.

So, please be understanding when we cashiers ask for ID. You might thank us for it in the long run.

Guest

Walmart isn't the one who asks for id. The bank notifies the register if the cashier needs to ask for id.

The register then prompts the cashier to ask.

Your fault for not reporting it. Sounds to me more like your kid took and you are just mad.

Guest

Your fault for not reporting the theft immediately and for being careless with your card. Suppose it had been cash. No way that Walmart would know

My nunwave oven dome just started cracking up after a year

My Nuwave oven dome just started cracking up after a year use. First there was a small crack the more I used it the more it cracked. My co-worker said the same thing happen to hers. My sister had mentioned this happening to hers but it did not dawn on me until it started happening to mines this oven is not cheap I did not get the buy one get one free deal I like Nuwave products but this is unexceptable. I would like nuwave to replace my dome free of charge, they should also put a warning label on their products tell you that this may happen and what to do if it does. Like I said their you have to pay quite a bit for their products.
