wal-mart is a horrific place to work, and even for peopel who don't even work for wal-mart. My girlfriend is a sub contractor for wal-mart, and began working there for another company. She is a very hard worker, quiet, doens't bother anyone and does a very good job. Any company would be thrilled to have someone like her there- she has excellent customer service skills and is kind to the wal-mart employees. However, upon working inside a wal-mart, all she has experienced is nightmare upon nightmare, wal-mart employees making up lies about her to her manager, and to their manager, discrimination, harassment, abuse, mistreatment by wal-mart employees...she has chronic fatigue --she is very thin too-- there is no way she can lift a table. With her job, she is allowed to use wal-mart's tables, but of course can't set the table up. Can you believe that, at a palce like wal-mart with it's 200+ employees, and strong males, that the managers and some employees, have had an issue with helping out a weak semi disabled female set a table up?? They have bullied this girl, treated her badly, picked on her...constantly cause problems for her and treat her with extreme disrespect and rudeness and abuse...First off, it's physically impossible for her to lift and carry a large table...to her location...yet it's very easy for wal-mart employees to do so. Sometimes they helped her out and sometimes they had an issue with it- yet they had to make it *** for her.

It was hard enough for her to go in everytime asking people to help her out---rather than them just thinking...ok she comes here all the time let's just help her? Other employees who did help her out were talked badly to by the mean employees who refused to help her out---instead of men thinking ok chivalry---let's help a weak disabled female lift a table- they turned it into abusing harassing and making the situation a nightmare for her--what kind of monsters aer these people? Also from the beginning, the employees who work back in the electronics department began badmouthing her and spreading rumors to other employees, to their manager and finally to her manager...they made up lies and claimed she was always on the phone and worse, even came up to her and made rude derogatory comments about being on the phone or texting...again, if she doesn't work for wal-mart--why do tehse fiends care what she is doing??? She is usually talking to customers and how is it any of their business? So they told her manager these lies....and worse, if there are white males working there- they can be on the phone all day and nothing is said about them. My girlfriend experienced a lot of mistreatment and discrimination by the employees at wal-mart for no reason at all yet the white males who work with her--they can do anything they want...and nothing bad is said abotu them. They can talk on the phone for hours and no one cares, but anything she does...she is harassed insulted talked bad about or reported for her 'behavior' which consists of basically doing her job. Again, she is a VERY good employee--quiet, nice, just keeps to herself and does her work...why are the wal-mart monsters picking on her and even ganging up on her in this way? its very obvious discrimination for no reason... It's obvious those wal-mart employees wanted her fired from the beginning and literalyl tried sabotaging her job many times...or getting her to quit cruelly-- and for no reason at all. They apparently just didn't like her or wanted to screw her over for no real reason, as again she is a quiet humble person who just keeps to herself...is there any reason to pick on her or talk trash about her or make her job difficult?

If someone works INSIDE a wal-mart as a sub contractor, especially thsi wal-mart, they will be abused to no end, treated liek an animal, and treated very badly by the managers and *** employees there-- the employees there think they own and can mistreat those subcontracting in there which makes no sense as they are being paid or are being given a profit for this...this is how these horrible managers and people at THIS location treat people...this location is E colonial drive in orlando, fl supercenter--im sure not every wal-mart is liek this place but this place is the worst...my GF was treated horribly, and every few weeks, the wal-mart jerks that worked there were maknig up something about her, harassing her co-worker about her, lying to her co-worker etc-- and then her co-worker began tellnig her what they were saying about her...its scary and so messed up that these wal-mart employees picked on her in this way and every few weeks she could be assured that they were going to do something to make her time there difficult, make her job difficult or cause problems for her, or try to get her fired it seems. However, she was an excellent employee and just stuck it out...rather than wal-mart employees just leaving her alone and letting her do her job-- they have made her stay there as miserable as possible, and have done everything to make her job *** and it seems they either want to get her fired or want her to just quit. What surprises me is that they have given her such a hard time about setting up a table, or helping her out with her job supplies...which other nice employees would gladly do for her, yet the mean ones would try to stop the others from helping her--and the managers as well. I'm not sure why wal-mart employees and managers are so mean and angry taht they can't help out a female who can't lift heavy items and instead try to force her to do it herself, when there aer people willing to help.

Recently, she went into work...and upon going there was angrily yelled at by a nasty angry psycho manager by the name of daniel. She claims that everytime daniel has walked by her, he has rolled his eyes and given her dirty looks and treats her badly...the other day she went in and he walked up to her and began yelling at her angrily and rudely about a table claiming that they aren't obligated to set up her table. Wow really? Of course they aren't obligated to set up a table--but out of the goodness of their heart---they can't help her out with it? what?? these nasty people are so mean....these horrible managers/employees that they staunchly and for no reason REFUSE to help out a subcontractor set up a heavy table...just because they don't want to and have tried to tell her to do it herself though she has explained numerous times...she can't...they simply just don't want to...and their excuse is "its not in the contract that we have to." Again...no one is saying they have to but literally..they just don't want to and instead want to make it *** for her and instead of kindly telling her something, one of their crazy sick managers comes and yells at her for no reason while she is very sick? how dare they....instead of daniel nicely saying to her...they can't help her out with the table, this maniac and loser decides to just come and begin screaming at her for no reason so that thing can feel better about himself...wal-mart employees and managers get ego trips out of abusing bullying and picking on lone females working at wal-mart, and females with disabilities who need help lifting heavy items. This isnt just discrimination its abuse and cruelty....

While my GF goes in there and just does her job....more things are being done to screw with her, her job, her situation etc...Instead of the managers kindly just expressing their concern about an issue...what happens is the employees begin harassing her or her co-workers about the situation trying to get the co-workers to relay it to her...or just doing bizarre little things...or getting managers to go and yell at her...and treat her with abuse and disrespect rather than just civilly addressing an issue. Every few weeks, something happens or lies are being spread, or some co-worker is being told this to tell to her, or something is being done to screw with her or her job. This is completely unfair and unjust and harassment mistreatment and discrimination. How can wal-mart employees get away with doing this to someone, and their job position...just because they are subcontracting a place inside a store? After she got harassed by that loser manager daniel, she tried to flag down a manager and couldn't. Then, she finally went to talk to a manager...who literally, took up over 30 minutes of her time-- with nonsense and bullsh*t...his explanation of the scenario was that.. by her asking an employee to take 5 minutes of his time to help her with the table- she was taking away from wal-mart employees precious work-time...huh? She was takign 30 minutes a week of wal-mart employees work time by asking them to help her set up a table..which was absolutely absurd and horrendous. He also made it clear that it was disrespectful of her to ask random employees to help her rather than go to their manager...and that managers were being disrespected in that way-- again huh?? he claims its not in their contract to help her set up a table---again she had to explain...ok sure you dont have to but you really just can't do it for a female who needs help lifting a heavy table-- seriously?? I used to work as a wal-mart employee myself, and i can rest assured the store I worked for would NEVER have done this to a female the way these idiots are doing to her--and they are picking on her in a major and horrible way....also, that manager kept her there for over 30 minutes, wasting her time with nonsense...not caring that she wasn't able to work the whole night after being mistreated by that manager and being so upset...and constantly being mistreated by employees and other people's lies and ill treatment of her...in the end, the manager and another female said she should pick up the table herself?! what?? after being told 100 times she's unable to do it they are still pushing for her to force her weak body to lift a heavy table which she can't do? huh?? rather than letting one of their 100 male employees do it for her---just because she works IN wal-mart but isnt a wal-mart employee---how dare they??

wal-mart literally REFUSES to help out a weak disabled female lift a heavy table...just because they don't have to and literally DONT want to? wow...a female who has done nothing wrong to them except taken their abuse and mistreatment constantly, and lies...who they are intentionally picking on and discriminating against for no reason...wores, it was already squared away with the main managers that it was OK for someone to help her get the table and that they would get it---it was ok with everyone yet some of the crazy managers such as daniel were still harassing and bothering her about it for absolutely no reason...now she is in fear of even working there because she might be insulted lied about or harassed about anything she does... the manager literally wasted 30 minutes or more of HER time....with nonsense and BS explanations on how and why they refuse to really help her out and how she is disrespecting wal-mart's code for the screwed up managers apparently... wal-mart employees seem to get off on harassing and sabotaging the job's of people who are subcontractors for wal-mart. They are heavily disturbed by subcontractor females asking for simple help with lifting a table...and are so disturbed by males helping them out, they do anything to try to make sure the female will not get the help she asks for....they are so sick minded and sick in the head that it bothers them to not see women lifting heavy tables and will fight and refuse to help them and make sure management doesn't help them either...some of the managers aer very disturbed by this too and can't handle helping out weak disabled women with heavy tables...on top of not helping them out they make sure to make the employees situation *** or bad for them...why walmart employees like to sabotage OTHER people's jobs is beyond me but it is unfair cruel and these jerks shuldn't be allowed to get away with this kind of awful behavior...why wal-mart employees refuse to help weak disabled women lift heavy items is a huge shocker, disturbing and confusing and they are some very awful and sick people....

I HONESLY DID NOT KNOW WAL-MART TODAY WOULD MAKE SAM WALTON ROLL OVER IN HIS GRAVE. RECENTLY AS A DISABLE PERSON. I WAS BEATENED TOO THE HEAD BY AN EX ASSOCIATE WHO WAS ALLOWED TOO HAND OUT ON THE RETAIL STORE PROPERTY HOMELESS CONFRONTING THE STORE'S SHOPPERS.

Have you ever considered going and helping her set up the table? You did not say what your GF's disability was but whatever it is it does not keep her from working..so,go set that table up for her!

I worked in a WalMart for almost a year before I left. During that time, I was injured on the job and my mistreatment began.

When the injury occured, I did as required, and notified my CSM. His response was,"SO! Go get on 13". The result of the injury was a tweeked SI Joint in the back and I was unable to walk let alone move to scan items.

I notified a member of upper management who assisted me to the management office, took the injury report and told me to go home and rest. He, took very good care of me. The AM assisted me in getting into my car and even offered to call my husband to notify him of the injury. The next day, I was unable to work and ended up in the ER.

I was placed on light duty and was supposed to be on a chair the entire time of my shift and limit my movement. So, naturally, I was placed in the Fitting Room. No bench, stool or chair was provided and I was told just get one out of the fitting room and take it to the desk. NO MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT cared to assist and gave me grief whenever they noticed I was sitting.

Eventually, while on light duty, I was told to go work in the Pharmacy. NOTE: I WAS NOT GIVEN THE PROPER KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED BY WALMART CORP BEFORE ONE CAN WORK OR ASSIST IN THE PHARMACY! I was not allowed to sit while there as well. After a couple of months of light duty and full release I was released as a WalMart associate.

They stated because I violated company policy. The management team could not state what policy I violated.

My GF isn\'t fully 'disabled' and needs more breaks, she has a minor disability which prevents her from doing excessive manual labor and regardless wuldn\'t be able to lift a table whether she has CFS or not. Danial , Daniel, she hasnt even communicated with him for months and never talks to him-- he just walked up to her out of the blue one day and yelled at her I think because he was promoted to a manager position and decided he could finally abuse her or treat her like ***... She doesn\'t call to talk to me and cry and they didn\'t say she lied on her interview---however they do make up all sorts of BS and lies...and were disgruntled about the table situation. In fact a very nice employee that helped her out said that the jerks in the electronics section would say to him for helping her out \"oh you\'re helping her out still\"?? and he\'d say yeah...what\'s the big deal about doing that...(but very creative lies there...and nice story...whoever wrote it)...

Just to add to this report..my girlfriend on the day she went in, was very sick had a lymph node swelling but still just wanted to go to work. She was on medication and not contagious, but painstakingly went into work jsut to get harassed and yelled at by a *** wal-mart loser named daniel, the moment she went in there..which is very unfair. She then had to spend the rest of her time upset, couldn't even do her job then had to waste more time speaking to an ignorant manager and be messed with by several employees who wasted her time with nonsense and BS...

There seems to be a load of discrimination going on as other co-workers of hers go in and actually borrow tables on sale from the wal-mart store itself..and nothing is said about what they do. It seems males can do anything they want and get away with it. Yet she, a kind, quiet nice female, has been talked badly about, picked on and put down consistently and its just unfair and discrimination. The wal-mart idiots who work there, who are evidently malicious and mean *** people, have lied about her work habits, about her...and made her job very difficult adn tried to get her fired several times with her boss. This is not right at all?!

She comes into work and does her job---does she go around talking lies about the wal-mart employees and try to ruin their jobs? of course not, yet they purposely, will speak badly about her and try to mess up her job or make her look bad to her boss...what kidn of *** discrimination goes on in that awful pathetic place...the employees there are so bad, they were lying to her co-worker, insulting her to her co-worker...harassing him too at one point and making up lies about her...these jerks there have made it *** for her just for her to go to her job...these are the idiots who work in the electronics section...many are just mean people...arrogant rude and just awful. sad thing about the phone incident is that she is only on the phone to talk to me and cry. because they are abusing her she needs to take breaks often. normal employees only get 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch break. sometimes two mini breaks. my girlfriend need at least two lunch breaks and six to seven mini 15 breaks because she is disabled. the mean manager Danial won't let her take breaks more than the other employees. that *** told her that since when she first started she said she is able to take a normal breaks that is what she has to take no more. well unfortunately my girlfriend had to lie and say she can function with those restrictions set up for everyone else, however due to her disability she needs at least one break every hour she works. she was afraid to tell danial this because she was afraid she won't be hired, and yes all these employees are lying about her just because of the color of her skin. the white men have not been in trouble for being on phone, and only she has, she only is on the phone to talk to me, and if they gave her more breaks she would not be on the phone while working, she cant set the table and sometimes when people help they get mad at the people and spread rumors like she lied in her interview to get this job. she cried every day and throws up every day from what they do to her, danial bullies and harasses her by telling her to get back to work when she is on break because she has to take same break as everyone else. she needs more breaks because she is disabled and is being abused just because she wants more breaks. they are not giving her extra breaks so she preforms bad and they sabotage her they sabotage OTHER workers to make them look bad. she needs the extra breaks and when I went to talk to managers about it they told me that if i did not stop using profanity they would ask me to leave, i refused to leave till they kicked me out of store. they also told me that when she was first hired she said she could take the same breaks, and has to stay by that. i also used to work for them but got fired for swearing at a customer who was rude and deserved it.

thanks for your reply trevor, but home office says that if she agreed to work with regular breaks she has to, they dont understand either. they said she can take one or two small breaks at most but not one break every hour as she needs.
