Account hacked and Walmart GC stolen
I am a Walmart customer for long time. On 2/26 my Walmart account was hacked.
I realized it immediately after receiving an email telling me that my account information had been updated, which I did not do. I called Walmart customer service and was able to update my password. Customer service told me that there was no damage done. I deleted the stored 3 Gift card immediately.
When I tried to use the gift cards last month, I found the balance on all 3 gift cards are 0.
I called Walmart customer service. For the first call, I was told that they sent an email and I should hear back within 24 hours. I didn't hear back anything.
So I called several days later, and I was told that I should send an email by myself. I received the response 2 days later, telling me that Walmart is not responsible for that.
If any person can easily used the gift card stored in the account anywhere, without limitation of only ordering from the account, Walmart should be responsible for that.
Reason of review: Gift card stolen from account.
Monetary Loss: $72.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
