A few weeks back I looked on the internet for a Fram oil filter CH10185. Both Amazon and Walmart had it priced at $4.99.
Last night I went to the Walmart located in Old Bridge, New Jersey to purchase the oil filter only to discover it was priced at $7.22. That's a $2.23 price difference which is almost a 1/3 higher price. So I'm guessing in order to compete with Amazon, Walmart needs to charge higher prices at their stores.
I also made note of automotive air and cabin filters and their in-store prices were higher as well. I will not be shopping at Walmart again anytime soon.
