Now that Walmart has changed its return policy, I will no longer be shopping there. I baught one of those new garden hose that shrinks after use because I live in an apt.

It had a blow out so I tried to return it to the Chino CA store. They said they wont take ANYTHING back without a receipt. WHAT? HOW SCREWED IS THAT.

They used to put the purchase amount on a store card but not anymore. Don't buy any merchandise from them or you are stuck with it unless you have a receipt.

They will probably end up closing some stores eventually because of this. It's not like they pay a lot for their merchandise since most of it comes from foreign countries.

Product or Service Mentioned: As Seen On Tv Hose Hero Garden Hose.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Monetary Loss: $15.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Walmart Cons: Unfair treatment.

You must be a child to not understand why they had to change the rules. They had to change the rules because of scammers.

YOU lost the receipt so this is YOUR fault. You can shop anywhere you want they have the same policy. Why did you not give the receipt to a parent?

They will not end up closing stores because of this you foolish child because unlike you most people are more willing to accept responsibility for their mistakes. You were not treated unfairly you foolish child and if you want a return find your receipt.

Perhaps they have quit taking returns from you due to a large number of returns without a receipt. Many stores will give credit without a receipt up to a point.

Only shoplifters will never have a receipt.

Stores will accept a few returns to give people the benefit of the doubt in case the lost a receipt but may limit those returns to a certain number or dollar amount. My guess is that you made too many returns without a receipt.

I was also thinking that the OP made too many returns without a receipt. However not all people who "lost" the receipt are shoplifters.

Most people lost their receipt, there are a very few people who "lost" their receipt and want a refund. Get the drift.

In agree, people do loose their receipts and that is why most store will accept a limited number of returns (yes they just get a credit) but it reaches a point where enough is enough. Simply file your receipts away until you are sure you aren't going to be returning the items on the receipt and save a lot of frustration.
