Walmart - Closing account
Hello, people of earth, I got an apology from Synchrony credit cards Corporate office for the tactics they tried to use when I sent them a check to close out my account. I paid the full about only to find out they added a finance charge. They had the gall to try and charge me $72.00 interest on the account. You just need to be persistent and go after them the way they try to do to us.
Never, by a store card. outrageous interest rates, terrible terms, no support.
Please enjoy the letter they sent me.

Reason of review: I took Synchrony down.
Walmart Pros: That i was able to take down synchrony credit services.
Walmart Cons: Cavalier attitude.

It's not just the interest rates. After paying my account balance off in full.(Had not even spent to the limit) They LOWERED my available credit without telling me.
Then when I made a purchase, I was charged an OVER the LIMIT fee. That is outrageous!
Why are they crooks? Yes they have a high interest rate but you agreed to it when you opened your account.
Sounds like they actually gave you back some of the interest you actually owed. If you read your agreement you will find that your interest builds every day you have outstanding charges past the initial interest free period. It usually takes a few days for your bill to come and if you wait to pay it till it is due you owe interest on the amount due for the 3-4 weeks it took you to pay them.
No matter where you open an account it is a good idea to read the pages of fine print and understand what you are agreeing to before you open an account. It's not their fault you didn't take the time to understand the terms of your account.
Hello, I payed the entire amount BEFORE the closing date. FYI, they will wait till the last minute to post your payment.
They have been nothing but crooks. Their Customer care sucks, The rep laughed at me when I asked questions regarding a previous payment. Do you work for these people.
