I have dealt with the WalMart Pharmacy on South Blue Angel Pkwy. In Pensacola, Florida for 2 1/2
years &;;; before this for 4 1/2 years at
the Mobile Hwy.
in Pensacola. This has been for my
disabled daughter who has Multiple
Sclerosis. I have always complimented both pharmacies in the past seven years.
Recently, I called to get refills about two weeks ago & things started going haywire. My daughter is Audra
Smith. & her birthdate is August 19th, 1977. She is a Medicare & Medicaid beneficiary of her deceased father who was my first husband. I am her caregiver & POA.
She is bedridden. She has not had to
pay co-payments or insurance premiums for the past eleven years.
She has also had AARP United Healthcare the entire eleven years. I called the Blue Angel WalMart Pharmacy on January 11th to.get
her some refills & there has been a number of things happen that has
included beating around the bush &
telling stories. First, I was told that
now United Healthcare is
requiring co-payments which was a huge surprise to me & I disputed itbecause she is a 100% pay for eleven years as a Medicare & Medicaid beneficiary.
I was continuing to get the runaround & I temporarily agreed to pay the co-payments for three scripts & to have them sent Fed-Ex as the pharmacy did for the previous scripts before Christmas They said they would. They finally got my debit card info last Thursday night, but DID NOT run it through for payment for some reason even though I was told. they would package the scripts to be shipped Friday the 22nd. I called Friday afternoon to see if it was shipped after saying they would get it shipped on Friday & was told that
they had problems with my debit card the night before on Wednesday night.
I thought I had already paid the $20.17 & the medicine was on its way. I called again Friday & was told that it as shipped Thursday evening & would arrive Friday the 22nd or Saturday the 23rd. Then Saturday I called & was told it would not come on the weekend but would arrive on Monday which is today. It has been
two weeks since I first started trying
to get Audra's medicine & she still
doesn't have it.
For the past two weeks the pharmacy had problems
being honest, had problems answering the phone, have given me
the runaround & still don't have Audra's medicine. During this two
weeks I have also made a Medicare
fraud complaint against AARP United Healthcare that is being investigated. I have since began
to suspect that this pharmacy is
acting in collusion with the insurance fraud & this is the reason
behind all the problems that I have
been experiencing in the past two
weeks. The pharmacy took my money but they have not sent the
Doesn't the insurance
pay for sending the medicine? There
are some major ethical red flags. I
want my $20.17 refunded to my
debit card ending in 2607 if they
don't intend to send us the medicine
which is Baclofen.
Trihexaphen, & Wellbutrynn. Now last Saturday the manager, Katrina, said she would give me a free three day supply if
I would come to the store & get it.
I said if it is coming Fed-Ex on Monday & this is Saturday afternoon that I would wait a little longer.
Still no medicine & they took my $20.17.
