In late January, we purchased a Monster Moto Classic Mini Bike from Walmart.com. We also purchased a four-year service plan/added warranty).
We could not use it until late May/early June because we live in the Northeast – and did not want our kid using it in ice or mud – because it would have ruined our grass. My son literally used it four times and the pull start stopped working. We reviewed the emails from Walmart and they said to return the item to a store location, which we did last week. This is a BIG item and it had remnants of gas in the tank.
Putting this in the back of a car is difficult and unsafe - but we did it anyway and brought it to Walmart in Riverdale, NJ. They looked up the order number in their system and said it had been more than 90 days so we could not return it. I called Walmart customer service while standing in the store and got a service representative in India who was rude and NOT at all service oriented. I called again and got an ineffective person who did not resolve our issue.
Walmart does NOT stand behind its products. If they want to (actually) compete with Amazon, they have to do a better job supporting consumers. The warranty company (Walmart owned) is also the WORST. They do not answer calls or emails and give you the runaround.
Walmart.com is horrible and we’ll never purchase from them again.
Of course, we’ll go onto all social media channels and share our experience. Walmart stinks.
