I purchased this salad mix on Aug. 13.

The best-buy date was Aug.19. I looked on all sides of the container and did not see any evidence of spoiled leaves. When I opened the package the next day, I found several leaves of arugula that were yellow, not green. There were also some spinach leaves that were slimy.

I carefully removed all that I found that might contaminate others. There was a lot more spinach than arugula. Admittedly arugula is smaller. In the next day or two I found more slimy leaves.

In all I threw away more than half of the mix. I can only guess that if I had purchased it on the 15th, I would not have had even one decent sized salad.

The best-by date was not even close to being accurate. Is this a packaging problem or a storage problem or something else?

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $3.

I think they would have taken it back. I keep my receipts until I'm sure the product is good.
