NEED BENTONVILLE UPPER MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE -
I purchased a Microsoft Surface 2 Tablet & service plan on 12.11.2014 at 10606 N Mall Dr Baton Rouge, LA. I travel for my job and I am currently in Mobile Alabama. I did not previously open the package because I was not placing the tablet in service for my company until today! I brought the box to work with me today (1/27/2015) to set this tablet computer up at my office today, only to open the package and discover a piece of MDF (wood) in the box and no computer. This was in front of inspectors working on this job with me (WITNESSES) I contacted the Baton Rouge Store Immediately to report this! I gave the CSM I spoke to my contact and receipt information. I left my name and all my information for the STORE MANAGER to contact me because I am on a job assignment in Mobile Alabama and I am unable to leave my assignment to go to the Baton Rouge store. - It seemed BR store CSM was hung up on the time frame of my opening the box more than the issue that there was nothing in the box! I later received a call from assistant Mgr to be told is not Walmart's problem they are not going to do anything because it's been "since 12/11/2014" AND NOTING THIER 15 DAY RETURN OR EXCHANGE POLICY ON COMPUTERS) - 1ST (I purchased the extended service agreement - I didn't feel any reason to be concerned if it didn't work - and did not need to place in service until today) 2ND I AM NOT TRYING TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE I WANT THE PRODUCT THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BUYING - After my expression of displeasure with that manager's statement, another Co-Manager tells me they'll have to file some claim to determine if anything can be done & it takes 4 to 6 weeks to hear back!
I am on a contracted assignment in Mobile, I cannot leave my project to return to Baton Rouge store! I need to know what Wal-mart can do in order resolve this MAJOR ISSUE. It didn't take me 4 to 6 weeks to pay Wal-Mart for the tablet computer the day I purchased it! And it certainly isn't my responsibility to ensure the integrity of Wal-Mart vendors! I DIDN'T BUY FROM THIER VENDOR - I PURCHASED FROM THIER STORE! THEY SHOULD FIGHT THIER VENDOR!!!!
It feels my money has been stolen from this purchase of $538.14 for a tablet computer and extended service agreement NOT RECEIVED . Should I file a police report in Baton Rouge against this transaction?
