Notified Walmart on 12 4 Fed Ex misdelivered package to someone else,not even near my home, only got initials, not signature. Customer svc rep told us would not reship PS4, because of Black Fri pricing., would be reimbursed, this was on "chat". Recontacted Walmart and was told the same thing.

No resolution by Fed Ex, no effort to retrieve and fix their mistake.

Walmart billing me for item, told me to 1, I should track package and notify police. Fed Ex tells me, shipper, Walmart has to initiate investigation because of shipper auth numbers needed and serial numbers needed.

Pass the buck back to the consumer who got nothing but a bill, no product and a song and dance from Walmart customer service more than once.

"Poor customer service" at Walmart? Who would have thunk it?

You said FedEx was the delivery service. My question would be whether FedEx actually delivered the package to someone else or was it originally shipped via FedEx who delivered it to the local post office for actual delivery to you? Check the tracking carefully to see. Many companies using FedEx now pay for something called FedEx "smart post" which starts out with FedEx but is delivered to your local post office who is responsible for delivering it to you.

That's where the problem may arise, as the USPS is rather inept and, at least in my area has the habit of delivering to strangers, etc. or not at all---it just disappears. If you paid via a credit card---the smart way to order online---file a dispute for package not received. The shipper is responsible for finding out what happened, not you as you never received it.

Walmart, as shipper can file a claim with FedEx for the mess-up. Remember, never pay for something you don't owe.
