Walmart South common refused to take my returns on my unused Halloween costume today. The lady in the returns harassed me by throwing a false allegation on me that I came to return chocolates in the morning. Without even knowing about the customer detail how come she said I returned chocolates. Did I look like another Indian. I simply say it is race discrimination by assuming that I look like somebody else who returned in the morning. She didn't even apologize to me for this mistaken identity.

I'm knew to Canada and this my 3rd month. This is the first time I'm buying Halloween costume for my twins. How come I know that it is not returnable ? I wanted to return this unused costume since I already bought a costume from another Walmart Southpark Edmonton.

Nobody in the billing told me while purchasing this merchandise that I cannot return it after Halloween. This is unfair trading. I was embarrassed when she asked before everybody that I came in the morning to return the chocolates.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $60.

Preferred solution: Store credit.

I didn't like: Carelessness of employees.

I am wondering about your age as well. Adult's do not use childish expressions such as you suck.

As much as you do not like it almost ALL stores have the same no return after the season policy.

I suggest that you learn how to read before posting. Also you are obviously not a loving grandmother if you do not know your grandkids clothing size.

Learn how to read and this won't be an issue.

Wal-Mart *** sucks! If there is a 90 day return policy than they should honor that no matter what the item is unless it's underwear.

It's bad business, Wal-Mart is one of the richest companies so why can't tgey take back a Halloween costume it's not hurting their pockets plus they can resell the costume next year. Everyone talking *** like their better than everyone needs to shut the *** up! Who cares if this woman didn't know the rules, the rules are *** I would be mad too.

Go buy something that's defected and try to return it, when the store doesnt take it back or exchange it then you shut your mouth for talking *** about this woman because that's what you get. *** internet trolls!

The fact that you are mistaking a difference of opinion as trolling show how immature you are. Then you misspelled the simple word "they" I guess you are nine years old if you mistake a difference of opinion as trolling.

Then let's not forget that you cannot spell "they" Seriously you are a liar if you think someone who disagrees with the OP is a troll. In this case mommy needs to give you a good slap across the face for lying and take away your internet. I also take it you do not know how to read. If you did you would know that the return policy does not apply to seasonal items.

The reason that they cannot take back a Halloween costume you foolish child is because they cannot resell it after Halloween. Maybe they can resell it next year but they have to follow some guideline. Just like at school you have to listen to your teacher, they have to go by guidelines. Just because you disagree with the rules does not mean they are stupid.

I also suggest that you learn how to read and spell before calling anything stupid. For example in school you are not allowed to talk when your teacher is talking. You may find this rule stupid, but if you talk out of turn you don't get to play with your fourth grade friends during recess. You get a detention.

Also using such terrible language when you are not even ten yet. If you do not be careful mommy and daddy may ground you. Also it is close to Christmas little one. If you keep calling people stupid, lying and using profanity, falsely accusing people of trolling Santa may not get you anything for Christmas.

No one is trolling you foolish child. They are just stating the truth. Now run along and play Neopets or Club Penguin. This is a site for adults to share their bad experiences with each other and to comment on each other's posts. It is not a site for children who don't think they should follow the rules.

Nor is it a site for nine year olds like yourself who do not know the difference between a different opinion and trolling. Go hang out with kids your age little girl.

Another thing little girl. Most stores have the same policy where you cannot return seasonal items after the season.

Maybe you need to ask mommy how thing work before posting and making a big fool of yourself. Then again, maybe not. Once she sees that you are lying and falsely accusing those that don't have the same opinion as you as trolls, she may take away your internet and slap you across the face for lying. I know that you are only nine, but grow up.

Just because someone disagree with the OP or you does not mean that they are trolling. You sound like a fool for saying that and mommy needs to step in and watch your activity online.

You big fool, this has nothing to do with your race. Grow up.

The only one that has an issue with your being Indian is you. You are the racist one by ASSuming that this was a race related issue. Why not go back to India if every time you do not get your way you are going to cry racism. If you knew how to read, you would know that you cannot return seasonable items. This same rule applies to EVERYONE.

Not just Indians. Therefore no this was not a race issue. If you are going to accuse someone of racism without proof you deserve the embarrassment. You fool it if the policy stated only Indians were not allowed to return items after Halloween then it would be racism.

If the same rule applies to everyone it is not racism. No they should not give you a store credit.

This is idiotic. You are at fault.

There is no way that the customer service representative can tell whether you used the costume or not. I’ve worked retail and you are the type of people we hate. Even if it’s not in their return policy online, its one of those unspoken rules they have when selling Halloween costumes.

If they make an exception for you they have to make an exception for everybody. Why don’t you just be more responsible next time and return the costume before Halloween when you knew you weren’t going to use it and stop blaming Walmart for your own irresponsibility.

to Anon #1590460

I agree that she is an idiot. Not because she tried to return items and did not know of the return policy, but because she played the race card.

Wow! What does Chocolate have to do with being Indian?

People say weird things when angry. Hopefully that was the case.

Besides that, you would have every right to return products that can be returned, when you choose to. Being 'accused' of 2 returns in one day!

What that about? That would be a legitimate complaint.

If you knew how to read you would know that you CANNOT return holiday items after the holiday. Maybe before you buy something you can get mommy to help you read the return policy. This way you do not spend your allowance on something you cannot return.

FragrantNumbat
to Mike_mn #1590465

Also foolish child if you knew how to read it you would know that the OP brought up her race not the employee. You really need to post with mommy reading the comments to you so she can explain to you what you don't understand. That way you do not make a fool of yourself.

I bet she is still foolish as she was three years ago. What does it matter when the review was posted. The lady is still a fool for posting this.

Of course walmart isn't going to take returns of halloween costumes the day of or after halloween. With the holiday over, everything they have left is going to be marked down to almost nothing, so walmart would basically have to eat the loss.

That's a common practice for all retailers, and a lot of stores will not take back holiday items 15 days prior to the holiday. You asked how you would know it was not returnable? Walmart has their return policy posted at the service desk and it is available on line. Sometimes you have to take the initiative to find things out for yourself (the associates are not going to assume you don't know).

As far as the chocolates, I don't really know what that had to do with your return, but it's silly of you to automatically assume it was because of your race.

Sounds like a case of mistaken identity, not because of race, but because maybe you looked similar. Thinking people look similar, regardless of race is not necessarily racist.
