Wal Mart has sunk to an all new low in its SuperCenter on Robert St in West ST Paul, MN. Its like going to one of those crude restaurants where they get paid to act like that, except worse, you're not expecting it.

If you want to hear about the employees newest relationship crisis or latest sex conquest just hang out up front or find a chair over by their customer service desk. If that doesn't just make your day head over to their jewelry department an hour and a half before their close and you might just have the patience to ask 3 employees in 15 minutes to help you open a display case only to give up and just leave because lets face it, life's too short! I reached my limit today after spending 20 minutes in line behind 4 people in the 10 items or less aisle while only THREE other cashiers and TWO working self check out lanes helped 40+ customers still waiting in line, while their managers sent TWO cashiers in to relieve them so they could go on break!!!

Enough is enough, super center or not I do not deserve to be treated this way no matter how much the employees hate their jobs!!!

Also if he does not want to wait 20 or so minutes he should come when it is less busy. The world does not revolve around this man who seems to think it is okay to act like a six year old child.

If one is going to post dumb complaints and act like an A$$hole than they should be called one.

By the way IHateStupidCustomers and 'he does not have to know you'- it looks like the original poster has left this thread and yet you are the one doing exactly what you are berating them for, calling names and acting immature. Turn the other cheek.

If you can't be courteous to anyone in public then you should not be working in a position to do so. There is no justification for poor customer service, this world is evolving into a place where others think disrespect is the norm and quite frankly our ancestors are rolling in their graves at the lack of respect that has come into this world. I like what me has to say at the end 'do unto others as you would have others do unto you' no excuses!

Maybe everyone can cut the workers a break. THEY have to put up with incompetent managers, who tell THEM how to do things, whether or not to open a new register, to go here, go there, do this or that.

Their lives are not their own when they clock in at WalMart. Just pick up a magazine and read it while you wait in line. I don't believe the cashiers are doing this just to spite you or anyone else, but a kind word goes a long way towards making everyone's day go better. Have you ever heard of the Butterfly Effect?

Well, one small kindness can have an eventual big effect on everyone you come into contact with during your day. And, remember, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Legitimate complaints& makes associates often look like idiots for doing their job& following company policy.you can try calling the customer hotline on your receipts but I've had many customer complain of long waits, indifferent service and slow/ no response thru them either...though you might get a gift card.the only way to get walmarts attention is to vote with your feet & shop elsewhere if you are truly disatisfyied which I can attest, some customers are choosing.most ate not though.other than that the last hope is that walmart gets a whole new upper management /ceo that comes to the realization that people matter more than squeezing every last nickle out of store operations & bring back the service part of customer service Mr.Sam Walton founded the company on in the first place.

In general all walmarts are extremely short staffed anymore with the front end being one of the worst areas.Management can call for other associates to come & help but again, the short staffing leaves few to answer especially after 4pm,overnight and on weekends/holidays.you can complain to the store management but they have little control over the situation as staffing decisions are being largely micro managed from Arkansas so to slash operating costs along with hiring standards that often value a warm body that can pass the drug test over paying a decent wage, benefits& hours to people who actually might care about their job& stick around.managers are instructed to buy off the worst complaints/complainers with $10 gift cards, something way too many customers know then throw monumental tantrums over the slightest of slighted to get the cards at the expense of all with legitimate complaints& make associates often look like idiots for doing their job& following company policy.you can try calling the customer hotline on your receipts but I've had many customer complain of long waits, indifferent service and slow/ no response thru them either...though you might get a gift card.the only way to get walmarts attention is to vote with your feet & shop elsewhere if you are truly disatisfyied which I can attest, some customers are choosing.most ate not though.other than that the last hope is that walmart gets a whole new upper management /ceo that comes to the realization that people matter more than squeezing every last nickle out of store operations & bring back the service part of customer service Mr.Sam Walton founded the company on in the first place.

As a walmart employee I can see I can see both sides of this coin.If the associates are truly carrying on conversations, particularly ones of a highly personal matter, while either assisting customers or worse, ignoring them, that is against walmart policy.there is however no rule that associates cannot talk amongst themselves about anything the wish if no customer is waiting though one would hope they'd use some discretion. As to associates going on breaks while customers wait often fuming, there is little choice to this.federal labor laws demand all employees get breaks in a timely fashion & at walmart the cashiers will actually be locked out of the system, unable to ring if they go beyond a certain time between breaks.Overtime is forbidden so even if you want to stay& help customers you can't or else you'll have to cut the time anyway before your work week is over.Generally all walmart stores are short staffed & with the checkouts being one of the worst areas.Management can call for other associates to come & help but again, the short staffing leaves few to answer especially after 4pm,overnight and on weekends/holidays.you can complain to the store management but they have little control over the situation as staffing decisions are being largely micro managed from Arkansas so to slash operating costs along with hiring standards that often value a warm body that can pass the drug test over paying a decent wage, benefits& hours to people who actually might care about their job& stick around.managers are instructed to buy off the worst complaints/complainers with $10 gift cards, something way too many customers know then throw monumental tantrums over the slightest of slighted to get the cards at the expense of all with legitimate complaints& make associates often look like idiots for doing their job& following company policy.you can try calling the customer hotline on your receipts but I've had many customer complain of long waits, indifferent service and slow/ no response thru them either...though you might get a gift card.the only way to get walmarts attention is to vote with your feet & shop elsewhere if you are truly disatisfyied which I can attest, some customers are choosing.most ate not though.other than that the last hope is that walmart gets a whole new upper management /ceo that comes to the realization that people matter more than squeezing every last nickle out of store operations & bring back the service part of customer service Mr.Sam Walton founded the company on in the first place.

what an a$$hole. I'm sure he treated customers like *** while he worked his long shifts.

probably cried to them and blamed them for it. I've worked plenty of long shifts in the past without a break buddy. so stop your b**ching. I don't have to know you because I might not know your complete personality but just from the way you talk, I can tell that you're just a selfish a$$hole.

those cashiers that you hate so much are doing their job. their job isn't to make you happy and make you stop whining like a big baby. it's to ring your *** up and get you out of there. and your doctor example is dumb.

if a doctor messes up then they're taking a chance of hurting you or something. if a cashier takes too long or rings up something the wrong price, nothing that big happens except for you having to wipe the tears away from your eyes. and respect??

you seem like the type to demand respect but not even attempt to give it to anyone else which proves how uncaring and selfish you are. do us all a favor and calm the f**k down.

Well you don't know Ihatestupidcustomers's either and you are judging him. Also you whatever you want to believe or not you WERE eavesdropping.

The only silly thing that Ihatedumbcustomers said is suggesting you have a boyfriend, because no man in their right mind would want to go out with you for an hour much less long enough to be your boyfriend. You also have no right to talk down to other members as you did with BigBruce and Ihatedumbcustomers. Apparently you think it is okay for you to treat others like *** but you think you deserve to be treated with respect.

" He does not have to know you. is right respect is a two way street, you have to earn respect by treating other's with respect to be treated respectfully yourself.

It's also not eavesdropping when the cashiers are helping customers, carrying on a loud conversation while standing 15 feet away from each other. I could understand if they were standing on the sides stocking, but not while they are standing face to face with customers complaining about their boyfriends.

Just because you work minimum wage does not justify you treating customers like ***. I was not standing there berating the employees, I stood there patiently and know I am venting my frustrations.

I've worked minimum wage at a gas station attendant for 13+ hours straight being the only attendant on duty and having to take my breaks when the store was empty, so you can't sit there and tell me I don't know ***.

Anyone working with customers daily knows that whatever attitude you are portraying to the world is going to rude off on whomever you're communicating with. Why should everyone else be subjected to how much you hate your job.

The customers that walk through that door that apparently ruin your day are guaranteeing your paycheck still arrives on payday. There are also thousands if not more unemployed that would appreciate having any job, even if it sucks that would be better and more respectful. How would you feel if it were your family and friends being treated that way?

Contrary to your belief, people who work at Wal-Mart are human and have a life outside of the store. Cashiers work for two hours straight before getting a restroom break or water break.

You're the kind of person who we refer to as a "pain in the a s s".

It doesn't matter if the associate has to leave at 5 to pick up their kid at daycare--people like you demand that associates stay past their shift to wipe the customer's a s s.

As for the conversations, you are being nothing more than an eavesdropper. By the way, this is the 21st Century, not an episode of the Andy Griffith Show.

Get over it. If you don't like the conversation, don't listen in on other people's conversations.

Really? You don't know me, you don't anything about my life, so you have no idea why I finally reached my limit in putting up with POOR customer service from this place.

I was in no hurry to get back to a non existent boyfriend, and the fact that you used that as an example shows how immature you are. I also think its extremely hilarious that you justify poor, quality and service just because the employees aren't making millions of dollars. Respect goes a long way in life and clearly people have forgotten it. How would you feel going to have surgery and your doctor was being completely rude and dismissive to you, but justified it by their years of school.

They may make more money, but they concept is still the same. And to top that off its no different than going into this store and being a total *** of a customer, it all comes back to RESPECT, no matter how much money you're making.

you're nothing but a selfish a$$hole and a loser. you sure have no problem worrying about your precious time, trying to get back to your boyfriend at home as quick as possible.

but you can't think about how the minimum wage cashiers feel, having to deal with jacka$$es like you that are in a rush. be patient or just don't shop there.
