New ReviewerI wanted to purchase a fishing rod/reel. There was no one at the sporting goods counter ("closed sign")so I walked over to the adjoining Automotive Dept.
Before i could ask my question, the Automotive Dept Supervisor turns away from me and states (Auto Dept is closed). I did not get his name but he was a big guy, 6' 2'" 250lbs. approx 55 - 60 yrs old, gray hair. I told him that I just needed the price of the rod/reel.
A young associate (teenage male) started to look for me and was told "I said the dept is closed" The young associate then apologized to me and said he couldn't help me. The supervisor could obviously learn alot from the young associated relative to customer service. I am a retired military veteran and I would never speak to my troops or superiors in the manner that this "supervisor" spoke to me. I am still angry and this episode occurred over and hour and a half ago/7 Jul 0945.
half ago. o halfago ago.
Preferred solution: Apology.
Walmart Pros: Normally good customer servicevalue for product.
Walmart Cons: Automotive dept senior associate customer service non-existant.
