I bought an hp envy touchsmart 15 notebook PC for $698.00 around Christmas last year and when i bought this i thought i was buying a brand new laptop but then couple of months after i noticed it started to glitch a lot and i just thought maybe i had a virus. I started to have trouble turning it on so now in order to turn it on sometimes i have to take out the battery and then put it back in that's when i discover the screws that are suppose to be in my laptop were missing But before i could put two and two together it was to late and my warranty was up

Was it sealed when you purchased it, as most laptops have tamper proof stickers on that leave a sign that its been opened. Screws missing while odd aren't entirely proof of tampering as it could have been missing from the factory.

How do you think it was tampered with? As in what do you think someone did to it?
