This concerns the Walmart at 2760 Highway 28 East in Pineville, Louisiana. I'm writing about the service received at the pharmacy by my grandfather (who is 89 years old).
On Feb 16, 2016 between 10:30 and 11:00 AM, he asked an associate stocking the shelves in the pharmacy area where they shelved the hair product called Brylcreem. The person said she had never heard of it, and that they do not have it. He continued to look as he was sure they carried it. Having found it on the next aisle, he walked up to the pharmacy counter.
The associate that did not help him find it was behind the counter. He told her they did have it and told her where it was in case someone else needed to purchase it. She started laughing at him, and he turned to walk away. What she and the others behind the counter did not know, was that a family member was standing near by and looked up when she heard them laughing.
As he walked off, she witnessed them making faces mocking him and continuing laughing. When the family member spoke up to them, they continued to snicker. Whether they thought his slow walking, or posture, or desire for a hair care product at his age was funny, we'll never know. What we do know is that this was completely unacceptable, disrespectful, and shameful.
My grandfather ( veteran, retired fire department chief, widower after over 67 years of marriage) was humiliated.
