Bought a Samsung TV on Friday. Took it out of box on Saturday to find no power cord or remote.
Brought it back to Walmart Saturday afternoon for a credit. Turns out the serial number on the TV does not match the serial number on the box, so they would not issue a credit. They only offered me a merchandise credit. If they have a policy to check serial numbers during a return, then they should have a policy to check serial numbers at the time of purchase.
The clerk who rang up the TV did not open the box and check serial numbers.
On top of this, the assistant store manager and one of the clerks were extremely rude and disrespectful. The assistant manager told me if I didn't like the return policy, to call 1-800-walmart.
