Walmart made 2 unauthorized credit checks on my credit file. This is three credit checks since getting their Mastercard.

As a result i have cancelled my card with them and will not ever have another one. Poor way to treat a new customer with an excellent credit score. I spoke to them yesterday and again today when i saw a credit check Sept 22 and another Sept 23, 2018.

Each credit check lowers your overall score no thanks to Walmart Mastercard.

I would like to point out that I have 4 other credit cards all in excellent standing and havent been abused in such a fashion that Walmart Mastercard has. Not a very good way to keep customers especially ones with excellent credit scores.

This is all of the details i can provide you at this.

Product or Service Mentioned: Walmart Credit Card.

I'll bet you signed the application for the credit account without taking the time to read what was in the contract you agreed to. If you had, you would know that you authorized them to check your credit ratings from time to time and adjust you credit limits accordingly.

You would also know that Walmart didn't make any credit checks.

Your account is not with Walmart but with an independent credit company that issues cards with Walmart's name on them. You should educate yourself a little more on credit before you continue applying for credit accounts.

Store credit cards are not positive if you have other cards.

Hope others read this before opening a credit card with them.

I hope people READ and UNDERSTAND what they agree to before signing up for ANYTHING. This is standard for just about any credit card.

Only thing I don't get is why the hard pulls as opposed to soft pulls. Soft pulls happen all the time.
