Wal-Mart, 25420 The Old Road, Stevenson Ranch, CA 91381

On May 15, 2011. I purchased a battery from Wal-Mart and had repair people install it, I was told that it would take 1 hour. I went back to the service area to find the initial repairman, walking around angry and the Department Supervisor, Rio Lawson, looking on the computer regarding the battery, I was not told what was going on, only that it would take an additional hour to put the battery in.The Battery was installed but, the battery cable was broken by a "Certified Repair Specialists" I was instructed to go to the Volkswagen Dealer to purchase the battery cable and return to Wal-Mart with it and the receipt and I would be reimbursed, and it would be installed. Yes, I must say that this did happen. After I signed a "Full and Final Settlement" I received the refund for the $68.98.Over the next 3 weeks, I have had to call "Triple A" three times to start my dead battery. My "Check Engine Light" has been displayed since my visit to the repair center and the Idle on my car has been fluctuating daily. I finally had to take my car into the Volkswagen Dealer to have these problems taken care of. After 2 days of inconvenience, the problem was finally discovered. Wal-Mart's so called "Certified Repair Specialists" Rio Lawson, neglected to reattach the vacuum hose and the ignition coil. This cost me an additional $120.00 on engine repairs. On June 12, 2011 the vehicle again did not start and could not be started with a jump. I contacted Volkswagen and was told that the best way to really check the battery level was to have the vehicle towed into the dealer. A voltage Battery test was run and it was determined that the Battery needed to be replaced because it would not hold a charge. I was also discovered that the second cable was also broken. This was the positive cable and I was told that it was broken on the initial installation done at Wal-Mart.Compensation to repair or replace Wal-Mart employee errors:$95.00 0681******** MAXX-46N Battery$9.00 0681******** Battery Core Charge$120.00 208629 Re-secured loose Vacuum hose$68.98 1CO-971-228H Positive Battery Cable$144.00 LaborTotal $436.98
