I love using giftcards, and I shop at Walmart pretty regularly. However, every time I attempt to use a Walmart giftcard, it never goes through. I slide it, it gets denied, I try again, denied again. The cashier at this point usually takes the card, punches a bunch of...

For starters, my wife is a quadrplegic, who just turned (50) a week ago. Due to her handicap, she is seldom able to venture TOO far from home, in her power wheelchair. Today, my son agreed to travel with her, via the local bus, to the Grand Haven WalMart store (about...

Walmart customer service

I was in a Walmart in Tallahassee with my family tonight and the cashier was so nice and chatty to the customer in front of us and before she started checking us out was chatting with the woman behind us. She did not say ONE word to my family and I. Not hi or anything else. She never even told us what the total was or how much our change was. The entire time she was checking us out she kept her head averted so as not to have to look in our direction. Thew cashier was African American and my family is white. I'm filing a complaint with the corporate office, which will be the second time that my family has been treated like this. I smiled at the cashier and my 13 year old daughter said hello and she looked coldly at both of us and went back to staring away from us. This is highly unprofessional and inexcusable. My family will not be shopping at ANY Walmart again because this type of behavior is unacceptable. I teach my children to look at how someone is in the inside and not the color of their skin. Maybe Walmart should do a better job of teaching the grown people that work that same lesson. I'm going to write to every member of the corporate office until I have some satisfactory resolution to this situation. If this was the first time it had happened I would let it go, however, my family is treated like this by probably 95% of the African American cashiers and employees in the Walmart stores. I will no longer be shopping at Walmart because simply put, I'm tired of explaining to my 13 year old why these people are so rude to her when she isn't to them.

Walmart - KaChing--KaChing

KaChing--Kaching Walmart's competitor's cash register ringing, as I buy less and less and less in that wasteland of horrendous customer service. I used to buy over $100 weekly for my home and my businesses, yesterday I spent $26.13 and some of that was grugingly. The latest news is that between 3/28 when I last shopped and 4/4, MOST OF THE GROCERY PRICES HAVE GONE UP, AND I MEAN WAY WAY UP. Almost all the deli meats have gone up between 10 and 20%. Ol Farmers Ham which was $4.38/lb last week was $5.28 this week for a WHOPPING 21.2% increase. HOW DARE THEY TRY AND BEND ME OVER LIKE THAT. One item I picked up, Feta Cheese was $2.50 for 1/2 lb in January 08. It had several price increases between then and now up to $3.48, but I figured a part of that was because of the very high gas prices. Yesterday the item was tagged at $4.28 and I thought it must be wrong, so I took it to the place where they reach into my pocket and try and grab whatever money I have from cashing my paycheck, all of it. Sure enough, it rang up at that price so I said "no thank you, I don't want it at that price, I thought the tag might be wrong." The cashier looked at me and said "What da ya mean you don't want it?" That is a 22.9% increase. These huge increases were all over the grocery area. Bread, up. Gravy, up. Up Up Up Up. What is going on, did the economy just take a huge turn upwards or is Walmart trying to fix their lousy first quarter by raising prices. And for goodness sakes do not tell me the manufacturers all raised their prices to you, because Walmart can bring any supplier to its knees, they just REFUSE the increase. I am taking my business to a real grocery chain, and if I spend a couple of dollars more its worth it to me to not have to deal with Walmart. I will only buy from those *** that which is so prohibitively more expensive that I simply need to save it. Hopefully I will only go in there every few weeks or so. I WONT MISS THE TRIPS TO WALMART where I am treated as if I have 4 heads because I expect reasonable treatment. Silence, Silence, Silence

When shopping at Walmart I have found that the workers there are rude and they are not very helpful. One Christmas I went in to buy a bike for an angel tree child and I asked the cashier for a gift receipt. She said that I was suppose to tell her before she scanned...

I thought the gift receipts were automatically generated and given.. or maybe that was Target, who are far superior to Walmart anyway.

Oregon Walmart employee ***

There is this cashier at the Springfield Walmart who is a total waste of space. She always has a sour look on her face and is just nasty to everyone. She looks like she is being tortured and forced to work there! She is a HUGE girl with tattoos all over and it's just so trashy. I refuse to shop there anymore! I have never been treated so horribly. The last time I was there I was sickly sweet to her. When she gave me my reciept I said "Thank you very much" and she grunted. I can't believe it

WalMart - Belleville, ON

- At 5:15 p.m. on September 15, 2008, I visited the WalMart store in Belleville. After shopping I went to the cash out and the realized that the store was staffed by one cashier with an extreme line up - double digits. I left my cart of groceries by the cash and requested to speak with the Manager. I spoke to the Manager to voice my complaint, but did not feel satisfied. I felt like I wasn't even heard. I will not be shopping in another WalMart store soon. I would suggest that they straighten out their customer service act, because I have heard a lot of complaints from others. Signed: Unsatisfied customer

Rude Cashier at Walmart Tyler TX

I was in the lawn & garden dept at Walmart on S. Broadway in Tyler, Tx. I asked the cashier to hold the Weedeater trimmer I wanted to purchase. She very rudely told me to put it by the checkout counter. I went back for it after purchasing other items in the store. No one was checking out but me, and the cashier told me to turn the tall, heavy, large box so she could see the upc code to scan & then she told me I needed to pick the box up so she could scan it. She made no attempt to bring her scanner around to scan but was very commanding to me. I told her I didn't work at Walmart. I am 62 years old & I had to stop 3x on the way to my car -- this cashier made no attempt to assist in any way. She was extremely rude.
