I received a $100 Walmart Gift card for Christmas from my sister. When I went to redeem it, it had $17.46 on it.

My sister bought it in the store and the manager made the sale. My sister kept the receipt. I contacted Walmart's Customer Service. They took my information and later contacted me by email, asking if I wanted the $17.46.

I asked where the $83.00 was that should have been on it. They told me to tell my sister

to go to the store that sold it. She lives in CA and I live in Reno, NV. She went to the store with the physical card and receipt and spoke to the manager.

The manager said he could see it had been used in La Habra, CA and for her to call the Police. If they knew where it had been used, they know who used it. Why should my sister call the Police? My sister said the manager did nothing and acted like she was the Scammer.

Customer service treated me the same way. I have contacted the main office for Walmart and the FTC. Walmart has not responded. The FTC takes complaints but does not get reimbursement for you.

I have read tons of complaints about Walmart Gift Cards on Twitter and Yelp. Everyone has been ignored by Walmart.

There is very little recourse. If Walmart can't secure their gift cards or stand behind the purchases of them, they shouldn't be selling them.

User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY WALMART GIFT CARDS.

Location: Columbus, Ohio

$83, nice try, but you only lost $82.54.The person that used the card is long and gone, this is a police matter. You are the victim so YOU call the police.

Also, they should arrest you for fraud for trying to get another 46 cents for free. Since you are trying to get 46 cents more YOU are the scammer.

Sorry, I meant Shevy Jnj must work for 9 different companies, not four as he or she has posted to immature children like yourself complaining about 9 OTHER companies. You are either like 6 years old or not very smart.
