We bought beats headphones for our grandson and after nearly 3 years they finally broke at the hinge where you fold them. The kid, being a kid, and wanting to continue using them tried to glue them, at this hinge, but it did not hold.

If they would have we would have not had to send them in for warranty...but it did not and we sent them in...first time EVER!

They have had the audacity to deny this claim because there was glue on them and it "voided" the warranty. We will never, ever use this service plan again or suggest that it be used by any of our family or friends.

Thanks for leaving a review about walmart’s protection warranty. I was considering the purchase.

I now realize it’s not effective. I might as well flush my money.

No product is ever covered under the warranty if altered in any way by the consumer. The reason for this is there is no way for the company to prove they did not fix the problem incorrectly.

Let's say the glue on these headphones caused you to have an allergic reaction... You could say the company put the glue on the headphones and sue.

Don't blame the company. Blame all the sue-happy people in the US!

Seems like your fault for not just using the warranty to begin with after all that's why you purchased it correct? Most manufacturers will void the warranty if the item is altered. A cracked hinge could be considered either normal wear and tear or a manufacturer defect based on how long it lasted before it cracked.
