Purchased a very nice digital camera from Walmart and purchased the optional insurance/warranty to cover repair or replacement if electronic product is damaged. The additional insurance was $100+ and they said for any reason it is damaged they will repair it for free or replace it. Told typical repair time is 4-5 days.

Product was shipped on November 24th and received by Walmart/Warranty Logistics, then sent to the manufacturer. I was then told they have 7 days to repair it. Was then told that if it has been more than 30 days they could make the decision to replace. 15 days after the manufacturer receives it they finally give an update that it is 'estimated' to be repaired on December 28th. It is then shipped back to the warranty company/Walmart and then shipped back to me. When asked about the replacement due to delay they said now that they have an estimated repair date they wouldn't replace.

I believe I was deceived in their promotion, sales, and expectation of service.

For such an expensive insurance plan they mislead you to expect a quick turn around. It will probably be 4-5 WEEKS at the earliest.
