Walmart in Redding ca. I bought 2 cans of 134a AC Freon, I also had to pay a $10.00 deposit on each can.

10 days after I bought the 134a I returned the two empty cans to Walmart customer service, I wasn't returning a item for my money back I was just getting my deposit back. Never thought about a recite, It shows in bold print on the can a California $10.00 deposit is required on each can. Other words that can doesn't leave the store without a $10.00 charge for the return of the can. I was refused my deposit back.

So where does my $20.00 go?

Do I need to get in touch with California recycling? This isn't right and I would like my money back or a legal answer why Walmart should get to keep it

Your legal answer is that you did not have a receipt. They have no idea if you bought it there, or at another store. Doesn't matter if it is a deposit, or a return, no receipt equals no refund.
